She'd managed to forget that there was a party going on until late enough that she'd have felt sort of weird showing up—not to mention 'bout the fact that Ino was a bit weirded out by the idea of showing up at some strange grown-up's place for a party—and so, with her Santa hat perched jauntily on her head, she'd wandered into her common room to make hot chocolate.

It was totally seasonal. And so was the candy cane she was nibbling on. The candy was obviously the best part of this holiday, especially for someone who only had the vaguely concept of what the holiday entailed beyond 'shiny presents'.

But presents? Were pretty awesome too. She leaned against the counter and sipped her hot chocolate idly.

"I hear there's a good clothing store in town. And I know there's plenty of them in Bordertown."

"Pixie Dust is sooo expensive though," Ino complained, laughing. "I'm not made of money!"

"Some of the shops in B-Town can be kind of expensive too, but almost all of them take trade stock in liu of money."

"Stock?"

"Well there's three, no, four types of currency in Bordertown. World money, Elven Gold, Bordertown Scrip, and trading stock. That last one's the most reliable. Anything you have that you can trade. Some people deal in favors, some folks will give you like, an amusing button in exchange for a good or service."
