5th Floor Common Room -- Sunday Evening

She'd managed to forget that there was a party going on until late enough that she'd have felt sort of weird showing up—not to mention 'bout the fact that Ino was a bit weirded out by the idea of showing up at some strange grown-up's place for a party—and so, with her Santa hat perched jauntily on her head, she'd wandered into her common room to make hot chocolate.

It was totally seasonal. And so was the candy cane she was nibbling on. The candy was obviously the best part of this holiday, especially for someone who only had the vaguely concept of what the holiday entailed beyond 'shiny presents'.

But presents? Were pretty awesome too. She leaned against the counter and sipped her hot chocolate idly.

Jaime had spent most of the weekend distracted, and when he'd wandered into the common room to make hot chocolate he'd discovered (to his horror) that there were no marshmallows. Which had led him on a quest. A quest that led to the fifth floor.

Where they better have marshmallows.

"You there!" he declared loudly as he walked into the room and spotted Ino. "With the Santa hat. Do you have marshmallows?" It probably have been more imperious if he didn't look and sound so utterly ridiculous.

"Of course I do," she said, tilting her head and raising an eyebrow. "But what're you willing to pay to get them?"

She had no clue if they had marshmallows or not. Ino hadn't put any in her hot chocolate.

This did not stop her from acting like she knew for sure that they totally did.

"Hmm... if you were to share your marshmallow bounty, I might be convinced to share... my cookie bounty." Of course Jaime walked around the dorms with cookies. He knew how things worked by now!

"What sort of cookies?" Ino asked interestedly. "I might be persuaded to share in that case."

"Oh, hey Jaime," Jennifer said, waving. "Long time no chat. How are you?"

"Hey!" Had she been green last time they'd talked? He couldn't remember if he was supposed to know about that, or if the Scarab had just told him...

"Oh, it's Jennifer," she said. "In case the whole 'bigger, taller, hotter, and green' thing was throwing you off."

"Very nice," Jennifer said, wandering into the common room with the Space Battles movies on DVD in her hand. "You sticking around? I'm showing Leda some classic American films tonight."

Ino looked mildly dubious at this news.

"Am I allowed to talk through them?" Then preened. "And I do make this hat look good, yes."

"That's up to Leda, I think," Jennifer said. "I wouldn't mind."

Leda's santa hat was black. She liked it.

"Happy Humbug!" she gleed, coming into the common room.

"Humbug?" Ino asked, tilting her head.

Leda shrugged. "It's fun to say. Nice hat Amy."

"I think I'm missing out on the free hats," Jennifer said. "I guess the powers that be think I'm festive enough already."

"We could try to find you one. Maybe...purple?"

Yakko - wearing a Santa hat - ran into the common room and suddenly stopped.

"It's that time again!" After a brief pause, he continued, as if addressing someone who wasn't there. "No, it's time to learn the day's lesson! And to find out what it is, we turn to... The Wheel of Morality!" Yakko motioned towards the door, where a large wheel with 'The Wheel of Morality' written on it in huge letters drifted in.

"Wheel of Morality, turn, turn, turn," Yakko recited as he spun the wheel. "Tell us the lesson that we should learn." As the spinning wheel slowed down and landed on the number 1, a sheet of paper was printed from a slot on the side. Yakko went to his next line as he grabbed the sheet of paper. "Moral Number One. And the moral of today's story is... At Christmas, play and make good cheer, for Christmas comes but once a year even though it lasts for four months."

Yakko shrugged, darted out of the room, and the wheel disappeared out into the hallway a moment later.

Ino blinked and stared after him.

"...what was that?"

"You know I keep hearing about that thing and I've never gotten to see it till now."

Momoko had to take a break, so she headed off for a populated common room. And as a good guest, she'd brought food... "Hi! I have cookies, if anyone wants them? They're good! Especially the gingerbread men! I didn't make them, so don't worry."

"Cookies!" Ino cheered. "You're totally welcome, for sure, then. Jaime's making hot chocolate."

And Ino was just rocking her awesome hat.

"Yay! Would I not have been welcome if I'd brought something else?" Momoko grinned and set the box down. "Ah! Ino! Your hat is so fuzzy and cute! Hey, hey? Do you have a bell on yours? Mine doesn't, just the poofy thing again, like when I had the elf costume." She pulled the tip of her hat around to show her.

By this point Jaime had developed a keen sugar-fueled hyper-active redhead radar. "Momoko!" he called without looking up from where he was by the stove.

He'd been hanging out with other sugar-fueled hyper-active redheads?!

"Jaaaaaime!" GLOMP! She was across the room and hanging on his back in a flash. "Make me some cocoa? Pleeeeease? Ino said you're making some! I've been studying allll night and and now I totally want some!"

Hopefully she hadn't caused him to burn the cocoa himself.

Momoko smiled in return and winked. "Hi hi! Cookies are meant to be shared! It makes them taste better!"
