First Floor Lobby - Throughout the Day
There was a cart set up in the lobby. Not just any cart, no, but a magical cart of caffeine and sweet sugary goodness. Oh yes, it was Student Council's Finals Week coffee cart, and the Perk and J. GOB had outdid themselves in their offerings to the magical cart of caffeine.
Also George was around when he wasn't taking his Sex Ed final. And if you thought he wasn't overdosing on caffeine and sugary goods, well, clearly you have never met the magical cart of caffeine and sweet sugary goodness.
[OOC: IDEK. Open to all, mod your drinks and snacks and YAY FINALS]

Good thing someone had the metabolism of a butterfly.

Any further conversation from Jack would be slightly muffled for a minute.

Great. For all that she had neither bespelled nor declared her love for George last week, he was still fairly high up on the list of people she was avoiding--ever since she'd caught up on radio, anyway.
But other than turning around and running (which was an option she seriously considered, let's be clear), there really wasn't anything to do but stick it out and hope for the best. Maybe George didn't listen to radio either. Or dismissed most of it as lies, which it usually was.
"Hey," she said shyly, giving him a small nod. "Ensuring your homecoming election for next year?"

Of course, she was doing that for pretty much everyone she'd successfully avoided those days.

He raised an eyebrow at her.

Scalding her tongue was the better option. Shut up.
Was it too early to whiskey it up a bit?

Which was why she got a bright and relieved smile at her 'hey'. "G'day, Karla," George said, bouncing up. "Nah, tis for Student Council? I guess they do think that th' students do need coffee and th' like what wit' these tests."

Or throwing himself at Merlin. TwiceRelieved beyond belief that George was giving no indication that he'd heard anything amiss, Karla was able to relax a bit. "I don't have finals today...does that mean no coffee for me?" she asked, pretending to pout slightly. "I haven't had coffee all weekend! I might die!"
no subject
No pun intended.
"Well then, what were ye doin' all weekend that kept ye from havin' coffee?" he teased. "Mayhap ye should've planned better did it keep ye from dyin'."

"Who did you steal that from?" she asked, for the most part joking. And then she remembered that there should be awkwardness, but he was her descendant and she couldn't ignore him. Which made it all that more awkward.

George paused.
"I haven't done any studyin'. D'ye think I ought?"

Okay. She just needed to go over there and explain.
...In a minute.

Half was because it was his first cup of coffee ever and he hadn't been prepared for the bitterness, but the other part was because he'd just spotted Karla.
He wandered if he could smoothly make a break for the door.

Way to yell that across the room like a holdover from the previous weekend, Karla.
