Yuletide Party! - By the Dorms, Monday Dusk Till Dawn
Between the dorms and preserve, a moderately sized--if only because dragging over more wood than was already stockpiled nearby was far too much work--fire was lit as the sun set and the longest night of the year began. In the main lobby and by the fire there were much larger supplies of spiced cider and ale.
...look, people in ye olde times really liked to get drunk and light things on fire. It was a time honored tradition.

Re: By The Fire
Kennedy shook her head, smiling, and brought a hand up to trace the line of Tara's jaw. "You're gonna do bad things to my ego again. 'sides, look at you."
That might be a little hard at the moment, Kennedy.
"How'm I gonna get you to believe how gorgeous you are?"
Re: By The Fire
"You were the one who said not-bad wasn't good enough!"
Re: By The Fire
She waved an arm vaguely in what only an extremely kind person would call a circle. "This is a better than not-bad zone," she declared, nodding. "Also, hi."

[OOC: NIGHT]
Re: By The Fire
[[zomg sleeeeep. night!!!]]

Re: By The Fire
She wasn't that drunk that she needed to be hanging on to Tara; she just was. It seemed like the thing to do.
Re: By The Fire
Which Merlin wanted to eat. Yeah, that was too weird.

Re: By The Fire
... and there was something about solving global food shortages, here, that Tara was not quite in a state of mind to grasp. She giggled instead.
"You could! A little tiny one, so I could keep it in the dorm room. And it could be purple!"
Re: By The Fire
Despite any earlier denials, she leaned in to rest her head against Tara's shoulder and let out a giggle too-- it was infectious, okay? "You want one? 'cause I will so ask if you do. We could train it to give Mr. Moxy ponyback rides."
Re: By The Fire
"I was thinking littler than that," she said wistfully. "Like ... the size of a big kitty. They could be friends! It'd be about the cutest thing ever."
Apparently, alcohol made Tara believe all animals should be friends.
Re: By The Fire
"I'll talk to him, then," she decided. "If you want a tiny purple pony, you should have a tiny purple pony."
It was a little sad how applicable that philosophy was to much of her approach to life, drunk or not.
Re: By The Fire
"I'll let you name it."
Re: By The Fire
"Well, I'm gonna have to get it for you first. Can't name it without seeing it!" That did actually make sense, didn't it? Even if this whole idea might be very slightly insane...
Re: By The Fire
"You're right," Tara decided. "'twould suck if you picked the wrong name before you saw it. It might make the horsie angry!"
Re: By The Fire
"We don't wanna make the horsie angry," she agreed, and she'd just decided that it would be a really good idea to try and spin them around in a circle.
Re: By The Fire
There.
And it seemed like a really good time to try to kiss Kennedy again, too.
Re: By The Fire
"Happy, um..." What was this holiday called again?
