Yuletide Party! - By the Dorms, Monday Dusk Till Dawn

Between the dorms and preserve, a moderately sized--if only because dragging over more wood than was already stockpiled nearby was far too much work--fire was lit as the sun set and the longest night of the year began. In the main lobby and by the fire there were much larger supplies of spiced cider and ale.

...look, people in ye olde times really liked to get drunk and light things on fire. It was a time honored tradition.

Karla nearly choked on the dregs of her cider. "You are...too kind," she said, in between coughs, holding out her mug. "Yes, a refill would be much appreciated. Thank you."

He flashed her a not entirely genuine smile, took the mug, bowed his head, and left for the cider.

Oh, Arthur was chalking that one up as a win.

Dammit, he had so totally won that round. Karla was going to have to think of something extra-polite to come back with, otherwise she'd never be able to make up for that little debacle with the cider.
