The Salle, Monday Morning

It ws morning, it was Monday, and Arthur was in the salle, going over the edge of his own sword to make sure it was still decent for actual combat. Sure, sharpening the thing wasn't strictly his job, but he liked to make sure just in case something showed up.

He was also still mildly cranky over the phone thing, but it wasn't like mildly cranky and Arthur were strange bedmates.

"Whew!" Dinah's shoulders sagged in relief, and she gave him a wider smile. "Oh, good. 'Cause I didn't think I was coming on that strong. I mean, we just met! I like you, I think you're cool. And I'd help if you needed it for something, but I'm so not trying to be your sorta-mom-person." Except for the cookies. And okay, she'd hurt someone who messed with his head. But that was SOP! Really!

"Good." Dinah frowned, then wondered about who that had been meant for, and... "So was that in response to a phone call, I'm guessing?" No details! No identities. "I hope that one was a mistake too. And nobody's actually poking at you."

"Yeah," he admitted reluctantly. "I don't know. It sounded like it was meant for me? But--the person who called me didn't mention names."

"Eeeeek." Dinah gave him a sympathetic look. "Yeah, this happened last year? I so wish I'd figured it out faster this time." NOT THINKING ABOUT IT. Then her lips twitched as she thought of Jaime's message. "Although, there's one or two people I get to tease badly now."

Dinah spluttered, then laughed, turning red. "I got one about that too, but this guy I know was really panicky about it, and saying he'd come over and explain. I wonder how many people got that message?"

Yeah, that was a lot of giggling there. And feeling less weird about the other phone calls. "Welcome to Fandom. If you're not embarrassed, someone else is."
