There were no biscuits today at the Magic Reserve. Oh no, none to be seen. Just in case people thought that they were trying to poison them before.

Instead there were brownies. With a very tasteful sign that proclaimed them purchased from J,GoB.

It was necessary.

"Hello and welcome to the Magic Reserve," Merlin started, looking around. "Whether you're new or--um--always been here. Welcome anyway! We're part of the other two reserves that you may have already heard about. but we deal with more, er, or the less physical aspects of fighting. Precognitive dreams, floating things about with our minds, writing things in the air or healing with spells. Everyone is welcome here."

He turned toward his fellow leaders to see what they had to add because, well, he wasn't the best at getting everything important into a speech. Unless it involved Arthur.

"Oh! And I'm Merlin, by the way."

See?

"I'm Tony," Tony said. "If you're new, you might come from somewhere where magic isn't allowed or isn't believed in. Fandom's different. We don't think you're evil or crazy, I promise. That said, it's up to you how much you want to share today."

Karla stepped forward and waved. "Hi, I'm Karla; thanks, by the way, to everyone who came out and supported the bake sale. Anyway, today we've got a few things planned. First off are introductions; yeah, it gets old, but knowing who we are and what we can do is important. So, name, age, whatever you're willing to share about your powers, and then anything else you'd like you add. We're not picky."

Then she pointed over to another table. This one had nothing on it save a candle and a lighter. "For our non-introduction activity, we're going to ask you light the candle. Any way can; any way you want. So let's start!"

"Awwwwwwwww." Dinah couldn't help noticing the adorable. "Who's this cute little guy?" Because fate wanted Kennedy to kill her later, of course.

"It's Kennedy," Tara said, smirking slightly because, yeah, she was adorable. "She changed all of a sudden on Monday."

Kennedy would have been ever so pleased that Tara was sharing this information.

Dinah's eyes widened, then she snickered before saying, "Sooooo sorry, Kennedy. Really. I mean it." She smiled at Tara and said, "Good thing you were there to see what happened. You're taking care of her 'til it wears off?"

Tara nodded. "Yeah, there's this huge slobbery dog in her room, so..."

"Ohhh, yeah. Even if it didn't eat her, it might play Roll the Hedgehog with her," Dinah said, wincing. "Good thought." She shook her head, amused. "I helped take care of Tony and Priestly when they turned into things. At least she's adorable. And not licking her own eyeball."

Tara was nodding through, this until --

"What licks its own eyeball?"

That was just gross.

"Iguanas. Priestly was a very pretty red-and-pink-and-blue one." Dinah grinned, because Priestly would probably protest the 'pretty'. "What he ate was even grosser. I was pretty relieved when it was over."

"Yeah," Tara said, deciding she didn't want to know what iguanas ate. She'd been feeding Kennedy bits of her meals; the hedgehog hadn't complained. "I thought about trying a hedgehog-into-person spell? But I'm worried it'd go wrong. I don't want to make Kennedy some weird hybrid, you know?"

"No, she probably wouldn't appreciate that much." Dinah tilted her head, and said, "I'm trying to imagine Kennedy with little spikes, and it's just not working. The snout works, though." She grinned. "It's pretty harmless, and the most I've heard it lasting is a week or so. Maybe two? Merlin's turned himself into a bird a few times, but he just has to wait for it to wear off. He can't do the counterspell when he has wings and a beak."

"We should have a circle," Tara said. "Like, if I get turned into a violet again, Merlin does the spell. If Merlin turns into a bird, I do the spell. That ... might work?"

Except for the part where if the spell failed they'd be screwed.

"Maybe?" Dinah said, kind of out of her depth, but game. "'Dite turned me into a kitten and back again, but I don't know if it's something she can teach."

"Plus it's probably a different kind of magic?" Tara suggested. "If she's a goddess and everything."

"Yeeeeah, true." Dinah grinned. "It was fun. But probably way too hard for anyone else. I can never keep all the magic straight. I just default to 'not like Tony's' half the time."
