Magic Reserves, Wednesday Afternoon, Preserve Near The Cabins
There were no biscuits today at the Magic Reserve. Oh no, none to be seen. Just in case people thought that they were trying to poison them before.
Instead there were brownies. With a very tasteful sign that proclaimed them purchased from J,GoB.
It was necessary.
"Hello and welcome to the Magic Reserve," Merlin started, looking around. "Whether you're new or--um--always been here. Welcome anyway! We're part of the other two reserves that you may have already heard about. but we deal with more, er, or the less physical aspects of fighting. Precognitive dreams, floating things about with our minds, writing things in the air or healing with spells. Everyone is welcome here."
He turned toward his fellow leaders to see what they had to add because, well, he wasn't the best at getting everything important into a speech. Unless it involved Arthur.
"Oh! And I'm Merlin, by the way."
See?
"I'm Tony," Tony said. "If you're new, you might come from somewhere where magic isn't allowed or isn't believed in. Fandom's different. We don't think you're evil or crazy, I promise. That said, it's up to you how much you want to share today."
Karla stepped forward and waved. "Hi, I'm Karla; thanks, by the way, to everyone who came out and supported the bake sale. Anyway, today we've got a few things planned. First off are introductions; yeah, it gets old, but knowing who we are and what we can do is important. So, name, age, whatever you're willing to share about your powers, and then anything else you'd like you add. We're not picky."
Then she pointed over to another table. This one had nothing on it save a candle and a lighter. "For our non-introduction activity, we're going to ask you light the candle. Any way can; any way you want. So let's start!"

Re: Light the Candle
... But there was that other topic hanging there. "So... You're from a world with mutants. Did you ever hear of a place called the Xavier Institute?"
Re: Light the Candle
//Of course I have. I daresay there's not a person out there who hasn't, mutant or otherwise. Before I wound up here, I was actually attending classes at an offshoot of the Institute, located in Massachusetts. Xavier himself sent me th'letter invitin' me to the school.// Insert the scrutinizing eye here. //I don't suppose yer ever heard of the Massachusetts Academy? Or are yer from somewhere that never had it, or just doesn't have it yet?//

Re: Light the Candle
And, if he was from Jean's universe like he said, then Jonothon figured that it was safe to assume that they were pretty much on even footing, there. //But my reality and Bobby's don't seem very different, really. Actually, the events are all th'same, and he seems like he's just from an earlier point in my own world's timeline. Even if I'm from over a decade ago, and he's from... pretty much here and now.//
Jono shrugged again. Good measure, and all of that.
//Yer get used to it not makin' any bloody sense.//
Re: Light the Candle
"Well, then allow me to RE-introduce myself. I? am called Nightcrawler." He bowed dramatically. "And in MY universe, I was an X-Man before Bobby."
He frowned, something suddenly occurring to him. "You're not Pyro, are you? With the fire and everything?"
Re: Light the Candle
Helpful.
//I'm not anybody by that name, no. Yer still won't know me, if yer from Jean's world, but they call me Chamber.// A pause. //Not around here. Jono works just fine, around here.//
Re: Light the Candle
He grinned. "Well, then, Chamber, it has been X-traordinary meeting you."
Re: Light the Candle
He also made a concentrated effort not to groan at the pun. It reminded him entirely too much of something Jubilee would come up with.
//Yer take care of yerself, mate. If yer a friend of Jean's, I imagine I'll be seeing yer about more as th'weeks wear on.//
