5th floor common room - Morning

Jacob had woken up to a lot of snow, a powerless dormitory and a growling stomach. The latter two had cause a problem because cornflakes were just cornflakes and Jacob wanted to more. The blizzard hadn't caused much of an obstacle, not when you could change into a werewolf built to brave cold weather. He'd been across the island in a flash and while he'd gotten some strange looks for showing up in just a pair of jeans at J,GOB, the baker hadn't asked any questions. Which was once more evidence of how much the people on the island had gotten used to situations like this and luckily, the bakery had a back up generator. So Jacob had gotten a huge bag full of pastries for 'those poor students'. He suspected that J,GOB hadn't really been expecting a whole lot of customers.

So now, said bag had been upended on the dinner table. The bag itself had been thrown into the bin in Jake's room. It wouldn't do to have anyone take notice of the teeth marks on it. Jacob lay sprawled upon the couch in just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, his hair still a little wet, while he munched on a muffin. In his boredom, he might just end up eating his way through the stack of food.

Best not to let him stay bored.

"Are you planning on going outside?" asked Bod. "Would that even...have an effect on you?"

Death, he figured, would be oblivious but she wasn't exactly in the complete Death incarnation at the moment.

"Would I freeze to death?" Didi asked for clarification. "Yeah, the incarnation deal means I don't have any powers right now. Would be nice if that wasn't true."

She had some slight protection from the ankh, but not enough to protect her from stupid decisions.

Nodding, Bod said, "That's what I assumed since you're still inside right now. I'm used to chilly weather just because a graveyard isn't known for it's heated graves or crypts but this is a bit much. With the electricity being out, I guess that adds the extra wrinkle of both staying warm and not becoming too bored."

Didi had to think about that for a second. "Graveyards aren't known for electricity or running water, either," she pointed out. "Are those new to you?"

"Not entirely," he said, shaking his head. "After I left, I was on my own for awhile so that meant discovering running water and electricity. Even while I was there, Silas took me to various restaurants and I did attend school once. It's still newish but I've got some familiarity."

"See, this is the first time I've been at a school as a student, so you're ahead of me," Didi said. "I like it, don't you?"

"I do. It's very different than the first school I attended but that's a good thing," he said, nodding. "I haven't any complaints. It's removed from home but I'm comfortable here."
