Third floor common room- Tuesday night

Jaina had gotten a bit of a clue-in as to what it was John was actually doing out there, and to say the curiosity was getting the better of her would be a severe understatement. So, naturally, she rented a random season of Wormhole X-treme and got a pizza and sat down to watch.

She still wasn't exactly sure how accurate this was or what exactly it had to do with anything, but there was a lot of "...Nuh uh" coming from the sofa as she watched anyway. And if this was what he was doing... yeah, she was still so jealous.


[Entertain me as I wait for the cable guy. Will be a brief lull in pings when I flee home, but that's why you have each other too!]

Zayne made his way to the common room when he spotted the television.

"What are you watching?" he asked.

"Wormhole X-treme," she replied, making a face at the TV. "Looks like I'm catching up on canceled TV shows."

"I have to watch all of Wendy the Werewolf... is it Stalker? for one of my classes," Zayne said. "You can go for that one when I start watching it."

"You have to watch that for class? Which one is that?" She was more used to watching movies in class.

"Monomyths," Zayne said. "It's all about the hero's journey, so it sounds like the show should be appropriate for that."

"Ain't ya seen a TV before?" Hayley teased, jokingly.

"No, I meant what she was watching on TV," Zayne explained helpfully. "I got used to TVs months ago."

"I was just jokin, anyway," Hayley said. "...wait, you actually came here without knowing about TV?"

"I'm from space," Zayne said with a shrug. "The technology's a little different there."

Clark eyed the girl watching TV. Last time he'd seen her in a common room, he'd ended up freakishly afflicted with the weirdness of the program much later.

"Please tell me this isn't reality programming again?"

Well, apparently it sort of was?

"No, it's a DVD," she assured him. "Got a problem with reality television?" As everyone should.

"Just when they turn into my reality," Clark replied, blowing out a bit of air at that horror movie thought. "Oh wait, Wormhole X-Treme? This one's great!"

Because hi, aliens were awesome.

"You've seen this before?" She didn't know why she expected no one to know the show. Maybe because it was weird for other people to see it now.

Hayley wandered into the common room, as she did from time to time.

"...what're you nuh-uhing?" she had to ask.

Things like My boyfriend can not really be doing that weren't exactly going to get said, so instead there was, "I've learned that every single planet has the exact same forest." Oh, Vancouver filming.

"And that's a reason to 'nuh-uh'?" Hayley said. "That seems kinda silly to me."

While she thought her verbal reaction was the mature one, Jaina couldn't resist a bit of an eyeroll at that. "You can have your gut reaction, I can have mine."

At some point, Jon heard the strains of his absolute favorite television show.

Really. It was.

Which is why he dropped down on the couch to watch too. "They totally screwed things up. And I was way taller than the lead guy."

He didn't get nearly as much sex either, but he wasn't admitting that.

That would be a very confused Jaina looking his way. "Um. What?"

And that would be Jon pointing at the screen. "That. Was based on my team. Or, rather, the other me's team. Jack, the old guy who has the boat tours? Him."

She really hoped there wasn't some security clearance required for her to know that. "So this was based on his team, but he's you? Did I get that right?"

"Looks like a full house," Gunn said as he sauntered into the room. "Anything good on?"

"Wormhole X-treme," Jaina replied. "You know it?"

"Nope," Gunn said flopping on the couch and putting his feet up. "Sounds like a horror movie for the SciFi channel. Any good?"

"It's not bad. I'm finding myself sucked in anyway. Dammit." Like Jaina needed more TV these days.
