The Preserve, Wednesday Afternoon

It wasn't as cold as it had been over the weekend, but Karla was still bundled up pretty warmly as she addressed the members of the Magic Reserves from behind a steaming cup of cocoa. "Feel free to help yourselves to the warm beverages," she said, pointing to the table off to the side.

"Since the island saw fit to dump an awful lot of snow on us," Karla continued, "we figured it's only right that we incorporate it into this week's meeting. After all, knowing how to maneuver in the snow is important." Or something. "And so is being able to use whatever you have at hand as a weapon if you need to."

Yeah, that sounded good.

"So, today we're having a snowball fight. Divide up into two teams and use whatever powers you have at your disposal to keep you and your teammates from getting pelted by snow. Anything goes, so long as no one gets hurt!"

She pointed over to a stretch of the Preserve that was still relatively pristine. "There's the field of battle. Go for it!"

"Uh-hunh!" Determined Dinah was determined. And she gave Karla a look over her cocoa. "I'm feeling much better now."

"Do you mind if I give you a once over, then?" She held up a hand. "Not saying I don't trust your assessment. Just want to be safe."

Dinah sighed dramatically, held out her arms and tilted her head back. "Go ahead. Once-over me."

Her head felt fine, her arms were healing up, and her side was achey and black-and-blue now, but no jiggly or sharp feeling to it now. So much better than the weekend, now that she was past it.

Karla frowned and her eyes went a little distant as they swept slowly down Dinah's body. She hummed a bit while she examined Dinah, sending small curls of Craft around to test the muscles, ease tension, and gently prod the places where Dinah's body was still healing.

"Looks good," she said absently, still more focused on the within than without. "I can speed it up some if you like. Make the bruising and soreness go away faster."

"Hmmm... well, okay. A little. If it's not going to wear you out," Dinah said, dropping her arms. "I talked to Azula. I don't need to make a point with the injuries any more."

That dragged Karla's attention a little further away from the Healing. "You did? Good. When? What did you say?"

Even as she badgered Dinah, she was sending a wash of warm Craft over Dinah's injuries, soothing and warming the areas that still glowed a sullen red. "There," she said with satisfaction. "You probably won't notice much of a difference, but you'll heal faster."

"Work," Dinah said, stretching out her arms in front of her, feeling the muscles loosen up more. "She came in. We talked. No more powers training. She admits there's an issue there, with her temper." She paused. "I'm still considering the martial arts training. I think we'll try it for a while, maybe." depending on how the thread goes. "Why is it so hard for some people to apologize?"
