The Preserve, Wednesday Afternoon

It wasn't as cold as it had been over the weekend, but Karla was still bundled up pretty warmly as she addressed the members of the Magic Reserves from behind a steaming cup of cocoa. "Feel free to help yourselves to the warm beverages," she said, pointing to the table off to the side.

"Since the island saw fit to dump an awful lot of snow on us," Karla continued, "we figured it's only right that we incorporate it into this week's meeting. After all, knowing how to maneuver in the snow is important." Or something. "And so is being able to use whatever you have at hand as a weapon if you need to."

Yeah, that sounded good.

"So, today we're having a snowball fight. Divide up into two teams and use whatever powers you have at your disposal to keep you and your teammates from getting pelted by snow. Anything goes, so long as no one gets hurt!"

She pointed over to a stretch of the Preserve that was still relatively pristine. "There's the field of battle. Go for it!"

Kennedy was curious about how a magical snowball fight would go down, and really sorry she'd missed out on one over the weekend.

Uh. Not that she had any reason to be embarrassed about why. And she wasn't. Really.

But a snowball wasn't exactly violence. It was more like .... TK practice.
