Second Floor Common Room, Friday evening

Dinah had managed to get a copy of Richard III and cued it up, and now had big bowls of popcorn ready for throwing or munching. She'd sent out a handwavey e-mail to fellow cast members, in case they wanted to watch it too.

She hadn't noticed it yet, but one of the bowls was about to walk off as a hat worn by an adorable little fuzzy thing.

Jennifer paused as she entered the common room.

"...That bowl is moving," she said, not noticing the fuzzy thing.

"The bowl is-- hey!" Dinah turned, and held out a hand to TK the bowl back to herself.

The little fuzzy kept walking, then realized it was missing its food-hat, and turned around to object in squeaky tones. "What the...?"

Jennifer was just as startled.

"Whoa. Fuzzy food thief," she said. "Don't think it's a fellow student, do you?"

The little guy blinked at them cutely, then toddled forward, arms out toward the popcorn bowl again, chirruping. "I don't think so... Hey, little guy. You anyone we know?" Dinah asked, throwing a kernel of popcorn at it.

It hopped up and caught the popcorn in its mouth, then giggled and rubbed its tummy. "Awwww."

Griff couldn't hide out in his room forever. Dinah was so lucky she'd set up on the second floor. He fell onto a chair and lifted a hand in greeting. "What's on?"

And then spied the small fuzzy. "Other than more odd Fandom stuff."

Dinah grinned over from her place at the fridge, and said, "Shakespeare. The movied of the play we're putting on this semester. Want a drink?" She'd grabbed a Beaver Buzz for herself. "Good to see you, Griff."

"Sure, drinking anything special?" Not that he was normally picky, though alcohol would be nice. "How're you feeling?"

"Beaver Buzz," which probably came out a little too wistful. "Um. Super-caffienated cola and citrus drinks." Dinah popped the top on one and said, "Good as new! Have some popcorn, too." She floated a bowl over to him. "I never came by to say 'thanks' for everything last week. I really, really appreciated it."

Jennifer gave Griff a nod. "Dinah's the one in charge of the TV, I think," she greeted.

"Probably for the best, I never can keep up with any of the programs," Griff admitted.

"Me either," Jennifer said. "I keep missing episodes because of work or studying. Good thing I'll get a second chance at this year's TV, right?"

Karla came in, cradling a small, fuzzy think of her own. "Her name is Luna!" she announced to the room at large. "I'm gonna keep her."

Luna herself was doing an excellent job of being adorable, cooing back at Karla and waving to everyone in the room.

"Awww. Hi, Luna," Dinah sang out, as the one sharing popcorn with her chirped a greeting at Karla and her friend. "Aren't they great? Totally new cuteness from the Island, I'm guessing."

Luna beamed at Dinah, waving enthusiastically, possibly at the popcorn. Karla set her down and floated several kernels the little creature's way. Immediately, Luna started jumping around, trying to capture them.

"D'awww," Karla sighed. "I hope they stay."

"I do too," Dinah admitted, leaning over to tickle her new little buddy into high-pitched giggles. "Although I bet they disappear after a while. The mooses did. But maybe they will! You never know around here."

"Wow, those things are everywhere," Jennifer said. "Hey Karla. Long time no see."

Karla started a moment, verifying that, yes, that was Jennifer's psychic scent. "Really long," she said with a smile and a wave. "How've you been?"

Luna chirped towards Jennifer as well, copying Karla's wave.

[I don't think they've met when Jen was green? It's also late, so I'm willing to admit I could be wrong.]

Jen smiled. Those little things really were cute. "Pretty good, actually," she said. "Had a few developments. As you can probably tell."

Sam headed down to the common room and sat down just in time for the movie to start. "Hey Dinah," he said. "This was a really good idea."

"Hey!" Dinah beamed at him, and wiggled a bowl of popcorn at him. "Thanks, it really helps with the whole language barrier thing. Even if it is supposed to be English."

"It's still sort of English," Sam said, laughing. "Just not the kind people speak anymore."

"It's Poetry-language," Dinah pointed out, as Richard started talking about the suns/sons of York. "Designed to have three meanings at once. Also, sound great, even if you don't know what it's saying." She grinned at him. "And you get Sir Ian for a role model. Even more intimidating than Kenneth B."

Tony stared at the cute fuzzy thing and flopped on the couch. "New pet?"

"Cosmic traveler? Spontaneous lifeform?" Dinah grinned, and rubbed behind its ears when it cooed at her, and closed its eyes, rocking on its feet. "Your guess is as good as mine."
