Laundry Room [Monday evening]

"Ew," Ben muttered to himself as he floated a laundry basket full of be-gremlin-gooed Jedi robes in front of him and opened the laundry room door.

"Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew," he continued as he stuffed them into the nearest washing machine, dumped in far too much detergent, and hit the start button.

Other than having to float in a bacta tank after a fight, Ben decided that doing the laundry was the worst part.

Dru came in a little bit later carrying her own basket of laundry.

"Please tell me gremlin goo comes out of clothes?" she asked when she spotted the other person in the room.

"I'm hoping," Ben said with a smile. "Because it'll take a while for my dad to send something from home."

"Home? The local Wal-Mart won't cut it?" Dru grinned as she set her basket down.

"Not unless I want to be dressed in a Space Battles ripoff," Ben replied, laughing.

"Fan-boy isn't your style?" She began pulling clothes out of the basket, frowning at some of the nastier stains.

"Not really," Ben said, "and my wardrobe outside the robes I normally wear is kind of limited."

He waved his hand down at his black flightsuit.

"Robes?" Dru considered the flight suit for a moment as she thought about it. "So you're a flying monk?"

Ben smiled. "Kind of. We're called Jedi."

"A Jedi? Not a term I've heard before," she admitted.

"You'll need Oxy-clean," Layla said as she passed by Ben with a rather large laundry basket filled with striped tights and t-shirts.

"That's the stuff that the guy who used to yell a lot sold, right?" Ben checked.

"Yep," Layla said taking a box of oxy-clean out and putting on Ben's Machine. "Plus I'd use warm water. If you use cold it won't work as well. Hot will probably shrink some of your clothes."

Ben checked his machine, which had been set to cold and frowned. "Does the Oxy-Clean say it takes out gremlin blood?" he teased.

"No," Layla smirked. "But I'm Layla Miller. And if you haven't heard my catch phrase yet you haven't been paying attention."

"You know stuff," Ben said, grinning. "I pay attention."

"Glad to hear it," Layla chuckled as she started to hand wash her leggins. "I'm sure people get tired of me repeating myself."

"Not as tired as you must get of telling them," Ben replied. "Did you mess with the gremlins, or is it just laundry day?"

"Just laundry day," she said as she washed. "The clothes I wore when running into gremlins I chose based on them being disposable. Kind of helps that way."

"Does it work on gremlin guts?" Dru asked as she jumped down off the machine she'd been sitting on. "Because I'm a little worried about my jeans."

"If it's ground in you'll need to make a paste," Layla replied. "Three parts oxy to one part water. Rub it in and let it sit for about five minutes."

"I will keep that in mind if it doesn't come out in this cycle," she nodded. "I would hate to lose my favorite pair of jeans. Then again, maybe I should just designate them as invasion clothes."

"Well it certainly won't be the last time we get invaded by something disgusting," Layla smirked. "Might not be a bad idea."

"That's what everyone keeps telling me," Dru said. "I think I like the idea of random invasions more then gender swapping."

"Not into waking up with new body parts?" Layla chuckled. "That tends to happen on a semi-annual basis. At least you can be prepared for it."

"It just sounds weird," Dru shrugged. "I'm not sure I'd like it. Of course knowing that it happens should hopefully keep me from spazzing too badly when it happens."
