Hayley had spent too much time cooped up in her room. She decided to come out to the common room, and started to occupy her time by putting together ingredients for an omelet. Her efforts, however, didn't turn out so well. She burned the first one, and by the time she got to trying it again, she actually ended up burning her hand.

With a scream, she flung the frying pan off the stove. Which thankfully wasn't hot enough to actually start a fire or anything when it clanked across the floor, leaving an eggy, cheese splatter in its wake. She was just so angry that she couldn't manage a simple meal, as she ran her hand under cold water from the sink. Her tears were both of pain and frustration. She just felt so useless, right then.

"Are you sure your name isn't Kaoru? She says the exact same thing!" Momoko laughed. "But what I want to be is a great superhero, not a great fighter."

"I'm certain I'm not Kaoru," she replied, dryly. Then raised an eyebrow, "Superhero?"

"Yep! I protect people from evil and keep them safe. That's what a superheroine of Justice does, and I'm pretty good at it! I don't fight just for fighting's sake." That's what she had a violent teammate for, after all, and was kind of the whole reason she was upset about the weekend.

"Superheroine of Justice," she echoed. "It seems the same thing as Dinah's goals. You really are friends."

"Well, I said we were, didn't I? I don't know why it's surprising. We're both nice people!" She chuckled, amused at Azula's statement and tone. Now Momoko was even more curious about her.

"So, is your goal to be a fighter, then? I mean, you said something about getting to fight without restrictions. Is it like what Centurion talked about, with formations and stuff? You and Ino both seemed happier when we did the irregular stuff at the end."

Her goal? To see the Fire Nation rise above every other inferior nation in her world. Wisely, she didn't say anything about it, instead:

"I'm already a fighter," Azula replied, amused. "I was a general in the Fire Nation military."

"Whoah! You're already in the army? And a general! You must be really good!" Momoko was impressed. "Fire Nation? Is that a country?"

"The very best." Well. Until she lost her mind and was thrown in a mental facility and now she was stripped of both her rank and her position. "It is in my world. The best nation in my opinion."

"Well, it would have to be pretty awesome if someone our age can be a general." Momoko tapped her chin and thought about it for a second.

"I mean, think of how much better you'll be in a few more years? And there's a whole army more of you, with some people even older and with even more experience and training? That's pretty cool."

"It is," Azula said, then shrugged, "More experience, yes, but there aren't any people like me in the Fire Nation."

Azula and the word humble do not co-exist together.

"Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to say something weird. I guess I just assumed that was where you were from if you were in their army." And hadn't Dinah said something about her using fire in their training too?
