Support Services: First Floor Lobby, Friday after classes

If it looked like there were a lot more cookies and treats around this week than usual, well, that was because there were. The girls figured everyone deserved a bit of a reward after last weekend.

"We seem to have survived the attack of gremlins very well, and Francine and I would like to thank all of you who came and offered support over the weekend," Morgana said. "Caritas might not have been the ideal location we imagined finding ourselves in, but I think we managed well enough. We thought we'd take this week to talk about how things went for all of you. Did you learn anything? Is there something that worked or didn't work that we should remember in the future? For example, I think having places for people to lie down to rest might be a good idea." Whether or not they could get certain people to lie down was another issue entirely, but at least the option would be there. "What else can we take from this experience?"

Morgana had limited herself to one cookie, and was seriously considering how they could force people to rest the next time something went wrong.

Jacob wasn't considering much besides the cookies and possibly Morgana too. He wasn't in the reserves, so he didn't have to!

"My Lady," he was going to even do a bow there. Look at him being a gentleman. "You look dashing this evening." Afternoon. Whatever.

"You really are too kind," Morgana said with a laugh, although she perked up a little at the compliment as well. "I don't suppose you learned anything this weekend?"

"Run faster if someone tries to shoot you?" he suggested. Because go back to eat and rest was not on his list. "What did you learn?"

"That not all animals on the island are dangerous," she said. "And that the boys here are the epitome of stubborn."

Animal was a step up from monster, right? Not that he entirely agreed with the not being dangerous part.

"Who crossed you?" he was going to sneakily snag a cookie now. Except that it wasn't very sneaky at all.

"Arthur refused to rest," Morgana said. "He acts as though the safety of the entire island rests on his shoulders. It's frustrating to watch."

"It's easier not to rest than something bad happening and knowing you could have stopped it somehow," Jacob reasoned, he was possibly not the best person to see reason here.

"And if not resting impairs your judgment and gets you hurt?" Morgana asked. "What then?"

"That's a risk he's willing to make," he made it sound so simple, really.

Which earned him another cookie, no?

"Perhaps, but that doesn't mean I have to accept it," Morgana said. She did gave Jacob another cookie though, before he gave her puppy eyes or something.

Francine was not limiting herself to one cookie. Someone had to pick up the slack for Morgana. She was also jotting down ideas in a notebook between nibbles, though, which... burned off calories, right?

That got her a bright smile as he took the cookie from her. "Unless you're planning on knocking him out, I don't think it's going to change a whole lot."

Morgana's eyes lit up and she grinned in a not-entirely pleasant way. "Don't think I haven't been tempted. Many, many times."

"And just when you had me starting to think you like this guy," he remarked, and that wasn't making him feel funny at all. "Just don't hit him too hard."

"Arthur is like a brother to me," Morgana said. "I care about him a great deal, but I also know that sometimes he has to be saved from himself."

"Good luck with that," Jacob chuckled. "He doesn't strike me as the type that wants to be saved."

"No, he's the type who saves others. I suppose I can't complain about that. He's saved Camelot more times than I can count. I just wish he'd be more understanding when people worried about him." Morgana fixed Jacob with a glance, thinking of how he'd acted when she was worried about him too.

He'd told her he was fine! Which he was! Healing powers over here.

"So how would you like him to act then?" Jacob wondered, he could pretend he didn't notice that look. "I mean, he sees it as his duty to keep people safe which he can't do if he stops making you worry."

"I...well, I don't know exactly," Morgana admitted. "It would be nice if he could let himself be taken care of when the fighting is over at least. Then he can save people and let people worry about him at the same time. It's in his best interest to be healthy when he fights, don't you think?"

"Sure, sure," he agreed and he was grinning a little because it was kind of cute to see her worry. "I don't see anything wrong with that."
