2nd Floor Common Room - Friday Evening

So there was officially a hockey team at Fandom now.  Which meant that George figured he probably ought to watch more hockey.  Or more than jus' the games wit' the Red Wings playin'.  

Which would be why George had cookies and hockey on the television.  The Sabres and the Hurricanes.  He kinda like that goalie who was on the Sabres.  Ryan Miller?  Sounded like a good type a lad. 

He was also taking notes.  For - the hockey team.  Or possibly doodles about random things involving blonde girls with pretty teeth eyes.

Emma was in search of her easy dinner of choice -- Pop Tarts -- and so far she'd come up empty, hence her journey all the way down to second floor.

"Cooper," she drawled, moving past him to look through the cupboards. "Is there a reason we're watching adult men try to catch a disc and punch each other?"

"They don' catch th' puck, Emma," George told her. "They have t'hit it wit' th' stick into th'goal."

Duh.

"Wanna cookie?"

"Fine. Men with sticks and pucks," she replied, abandoning her search in favor of cookie-dinner.

Emma's idea of nutrition was not the best, no.

She took a seat next to him, in order to be closer to the cookies. "Thanks. What are you doing?"

"Frost," Jack nodded in her direction, holding up the bag of snack chips. This wasn't The Talk. This was just ... talking. "Do you want something that'll turn your fingers orange?"

"Emma, make me be lazy and stupid this weekend, okay?" Karla whined asked whined, curling up near her on the couch. "Dun wanna be 'sponsible no more."

"Think fast, Frost!" because there was a packet of fudge hurtling her way.

Since he wasn't going to get drunk tonight, Alex figured he could go be social down in the common room. When he spotted the hockey game, he made a face.

"This all you watch?" he wondered, glancing over at George.

"Tis th'only thing interestin' on usually," George pointed out. "I don' like them shows about clothes an' babies."

"It's not bad," Jack said, waving vaguely at Alex. "How's your day gone? Signed up for lots and lots of activities?"

He didn't so much think so.

Jack pulled a bag of neon-colored chips out of the snack cabinet and plopped onto a couch lazily. It seemed like he deserved a lazy end to his week.

"We're watching hockey?"

"Aye," George agreed with a quick grin over at Jack. "Could be playin' hockey too did ye want t'join th'team."

Somehow he didn't think that was going to happen.

Karla perched on a chair fairly close to Jack, giving him a kind of weary half-smile. She didn't have the energy for a whole one. "I come bearing comforting news. There isn't a rogue vampire on the island," she said.

Bobby was done with the gross Dusk candies. And to try and banish the horrible, horrible taste-memories he had fudge. Lots and lots of fudge. Which he was going to share with the people in the first occupied common room he found.

"Hey, George," he greeted, tossing a packet of fudge at his friend.

Ooh, fudge! He was so snagging that out of the air.

"Bobby. Why d'ye be throwin' candy at me?"

He wasn't really arguing, no.

"You have chocolate?" Jack asked pleadingly.

Did he even know this boy? Did it matter?

After the discoveries in Raven's head that were still being played out, Karla had kind of taken it upon herself to play herald. Maybe she could head off any incipient mobs at the pass.

"Hey," she called, looking pretty tired. "I've got word on the attack. It wasn't Professor Max."

"What attack?" George asked, frowning at the way she looked.

"There was an attack?" Look, penguin combined with general obliviousness meant Bobby had been completely unaware until now that something had gone down.

"Do you know who it was?" Tony asked.

"Ooh, hockey!" Tony said. He grabbed a bag of chips and a can of pop and plopped down in an open seat.

"The Sabres are kind of lame," Bobby said with a shrug. "But I'll take what I can get."

"Hey Tony," George said, giving him a wave. "An' aye. Or we could be callin' it 'men-wit-sticks' like Emma does."

Jack smiled over at Tony. "I didn't know you liked sports."

It was a rather grisly looking Gunn who entered the common room, a stained baseball bat over one shoulder and glittery hoodie which now beared the stains of several expired gremlins.

"Hockey? Man, isn't there a real sport on?"

"Tis a real sport," George told him. "Ye fight an' ye don' get in trouble. No other sport in this world does that."
