Second Floor Common Room, Sunday Night
Karla didn't know there was anything important going on today with the teevee. Considering their school didn't have sports, the idea of football was foreign to her. Instead, she was puttering in the kitchen, wishing someone who could cook would magically arrive, preferably with dinner, and pretty much bored.
Also frowning at the remote and wishing it didn't have quite so many buttons.
[Open like a common room and happy to be home from a convention meeting in another state. Come play!!!]

"Oh, hi Karla," she said, grinning. "You're not watching the big game either, huh?"

She tilted her head. "Whatcha doing?"

Which she'd been introduced to all of two days ago.
"And I'm hoping that if I wish hard enough, dinner will appear before me." She closed her eyes, scrunched up her face, and waited a moment before opening them again. To an empty countertop. "Hell's fire."

She was hoping to show off. As much as 'making grilled cheese' was really showing off.

She grinned. "I made 'em last night, for me. It only took two tries."

She perked up a bit. "Hey, we could try!"

"Anyone cooking anything?" Rose asked as she wandered into the Common Room, moving a bit stiffly.
Oh, the blonde noble girl. Probably not.

"I'm willing to try if someone helps," she said. And if by 'helps,' she meant, 'makes sure I don't light a fire in the stove again,' well, Rose didn't need to know that.

She found her way into the kitchen too, not bothering to squeeze past Karla. "There's a bag of cookies."
no subject
And depending how much cheese there was, some people might have to go hungry, Rose. Karla wasn't sharing.
no subject
But that, that's what she thought about Karla too, soooo...
She pulled the cookies out and leaned against the counter, consciously not getting out of Karla's way.
