Cheerleading Practice, Gym [Wednesday, After Classes]

Sam was in a much better mood this afternoon than he'd been early in the morning, partly because he'd gotten the fun task of calling all the girls who tried out to welcome them to the team and invite them to practice. He got the mats out and arranged in order, and found the mix of peppy music that he least minded being earwormed with for the rest of the day.

Hannibal had sent some time throwing candy hearts at Bobby in study hall so he was in a decent mood when he showed. Not decent enough to get into anything too strenuous but he was there, stretching and warming up.

Claire flopped down on a mat near Hannibal and began her stretches. "Do you think we'll ever see the sun again?" she asked.

Didi bent over and stretched, but mostly she was looking around. It was interesting to come back to practice from this side.

Savannah had been out in the snow to check the mail. Unlike most of the people who were dealing with the weather, she seemed to be really cheerful as she went through warm-ups.

Chloe had been shocked -- but excited -- to receive the phone call from Sam. She was currently on one of the mats doing stretches, and marveling at the fact she had made the squad!

"I told you so!" K-Mart said in a singsong voice as she stretched nearby.

The addition of a new club to add to her college resume was more than enough to make up for the snow.

It helped that she could make sure none of it touched her hair too. So... Jean had that going for her.

"So, tryouts were a big success. We have four new members now," Sam said, smiling at Chloe, Didi, Harper, and Jean assuming they were there. "Make sure they get welcomed properly, and does anyone have anything else to bring up?"

Savannah smiled. "Well, I saw at the Club Fair that they were starting a Hockey team... so we may actually have team stuff we can cheer for. We should talk to them."

Considering the lack of warm clothing Ronon generally wore (there was something to be said for a galaxy made of up planets that nearly always looked like Vancouver in the early summer) he much preferred being inside on these snowy days. He shook off his long leather coat and left it on a bleacher to dry before it was time to head back into the blizzard.

Are we going to have a spring this year? Because I feel like there's going to be snow until June at this rate.

I cannot even imagine how long it's going to take for all of this snow to melt. And worse, the flooding it will cause.
