Sixth Floor, Sunday evening

After coming up with the idea last night, Hoshi had been busy all day trying to pull everything together. To emphasize that this was not a Valentine's celebration, there were no hearts. Instead, as a nod to Chinese New Year, Hoshi had decorated with paper lanterns. In the kitchen, there was plenty moddable food from Ching Tai, desserts from J,GOB, and even ice cream from Chilly Boulder in the freezer if anyone wanted it.

The dance floor was ready for use. Hoshi had carefully picked a selection of music that was not sappy or mushy at all. However, she suspected she would be spending more time in the ball pit than the dance floor.

Welcome the the Anti-Valentine's Day Party. No date? No problem!

[Open to all, whether or not you have a date! Please wait for the OCD is good to go!]

Hurley was definitely there. He was smilin' and grooving a little to the music.

He'd totally failed to put up posters. Oops.

"You can definitely throw a party," Hurley said. "And hey, I actually got flowers today. So I might have to, like, not hate the holiday entirely."

"Ooooh, sounds like you've got a secret admirer," Hurley said, smiling for no particular reason whatsoever. "Or maybe, like, Ronan sent them."

Alex happened upon the sixth floor while wandering around out of boredom. And what better way to cure boredom than a party? She was definitely sticking around.

"Hi Hoshi," Alex waved in reply. "It's going well, thanks. I'm loving this party," she added, gesturing at the decorations. "How'd you come up with it?"

"I was one of them," Alex admitted, not at all bothered by that face. "I like the way you think. This party's perfect. A great way to end the weekend, too."

"ANOTHER Valentine's party?!?" Kurt exclaimed as he walked in. "SWEEET!!!"

"Since when does not having a date mean you can't go to the dance?!?" Kurt asked. "A party's a party! And it's time to PAR-TAY!"

"Oh, ja," Kurt answered. "Is he here? He TOTALLY needs cheering up." He paused for a moment, blinking at her. "Have we met? I'm Kurt."

If she was having trouble placing the accent, it was probably because Kurt's voice actor was Canadian. It was SUPPOSED to be a German accent, from the Bavarian Alps.

"I see you enjoy parties as much as the next person," Alex laughed, offering a wave as a greeting.

"Assuming the next person likes parties," Kurt answered, laughing. "Some people don't. And that's a shame."

"I don't understand how someone could not like parties. It just doesn't make sense," Alex shook her head in disbelief. "You have fun at the dance?"

Kurt definitely didn't need a date to hit the dance floor. He got out there and shook his stuff.

And Alex didn't need to be told twice to jump right in. She was all for enjoying the ball pit. It was good times all around!
