Third Floor Common Room [Saturday Morning]

True to her promise to Dinah, Claire slipped quietly out of the room when she woke up on Saturday morning, wanting to give her roommate time to get rest and completely unaware of anything amiss in Fandom.

She decided to make pancakes and figured the smell of food would draw in people, so she started making a rather large batch.



[open common room is open with pancakes. mmm pancakes. Claire is herself, obviously.]

Kate groaned. "So it's full-on insanity again, huh? Fucking Fandom."

"So it seems," Claire said. "Want some pancakes?"

They would totally help.

"Yes please." Because they totally would! "There can't be anything weird about the pancakes, can there?"

"I made them from scratch," Claire told her. "So, no, I don't think there would be."

"Oh good, then I guess I can trust them." She was also pretty hungry. That helped. So a plate and some pancakes it was. "Looks like it's gonna be one of those weekends."

"Yup," Claire said. "Best thing we can do is roll with it though. And maybe take pictures."

"I should get my camera," Kate mused. "Or go back to my room and hide. Haven't decided yet."

"Long as no one is hurting themselves or anyone else, I'm going to roll with it," Claire said.

"I'm just not sure I want to deal with the weird," Kate sighed. "Although, Bobby's also all weird, so maybe hiding in the room isn't even really an option."

Claire was just... not comment on the state of her roommate at the moment. "Is Bobby weird in a bad way? Or just weird?"

"He's still himself, but... Not. Like, there was a random guy I've never seen, in our room, claiming to be Bobby Drake."

"So... Bobby from an alternate universe where he doesn't actually look like Bobby?" Claire surmised. That was weird. Alternate universes she could handle. And at least Dinah sort of looked the same.

"Pretty much. It's weird."

Kate was good at stating the obvious.

"I mean, I know he gets hit with this alternate universe thing a lot, because there are like a dozen people here from different versions of his world, but..."

"Yeah, it's definitely awkward," Claire agreed. "But, at least we know it'll be over by Monday morning."

Unless Fandom decided to fuck with them.

"It better be," Kate said. "Otherwise I'm fleeing to Baltimore."

"I will totally go with you," Claire said.

"Meet you in the lobby Monday morning if this hasn't ended by then?" Kate asked with a faint wry smirk.

Claire grinned. "I'll even bring the emergency credit card my dad gave me."

"... Maybe we should just do it whether this blows over or not," Kate joked.

"Mmmm, tempting," Claire admitted. "I don't think Jon would approve though."

"Pfft, does that matter?"

Easy for the single girl to say.

"Well, you're a good kisser and all, but not exactly my type," Claire said.

"Aww, I'm hurt." No she wasn't. "And I wasn't intending to steal you away like, permanently, anyway."

"Oh, in that case, I'm in," Claire said. "Actually, maybe I'll steal you away to help me find a few people."
