Third Floor Common Room [Saturday Morning]

True to her promise to Dinah, Claire slipped quietly out of the room when she woke up on Saturday morning, wanting to give her roommate time to get rest and completely unaware of anything amiss in Fandom.

She decided to make pancakes and figured the smell of food would draw in people, so she started making a rather large batch.



[open common room is open with pancakes. mmm pancakes. Claire is herself, obviously.]

Eddie was looking around for an exit when he was distracted by the smell of food. Hopefully free food. And not just because he couldn't find his wallet.

He threw a playful little dance step into his walk when he saw the blonde. "Good morning."

"Hi," Claire said, turning to look at... well, okay then. He sounded like Priestly or Dean but he certainly didn't look like either of them at the moment. Maybe Priestly was gremlin bit?

"Um, would you like some pancakes?"

Dinah Lance, aka Black Canary, had awakened in costume, in what looked like a college dorm room. Some investigation had determined that the room was in Maryland, and probably a school named Fandom.

Aaaand Oracle wasn't answering her calls. Great. Time to investigate.

She headed down the hallway, and paused when she reached a common area near the stairs. "Hi. Those smell good." She tried a rueful smile. "Do you mind telling me, where am I, exactly?"

"You," said Eddie G., "are in luck." She'd found him, hadn't she? "Hellooo there."

Seriously, there were like, waves of smarm coming off this guy.

Claire frowned a bit at the girl. There was something familiar about her.

"You're in Fandom," she said. "It's a school."

Apparently it was one of those weekends.

"Wow," came Jack's observation as he kept shoveling in pancakes. "I just got here. Turns out I'm on an island, not on a boat."

.. yes, that was helpful.

Jaime spotted Dinah and did a double-take.

Oh crap! That was Dinah Lance. She knew who he was.

He ducked under a table oh-so-inconspicuously and hoped she didn't notice.

Kate had already had a few yet to be played out weird encounters by the time she made it to the common room.

Which would explain the "Oh please tell me you're Claire" that escaped her lips as soon as she spotted the other girl.

"Who's Claire?" she joked. "Sorry, Kate, yeah it's me. But, um, you and I seem to be in the minority."

"Well hello there," said Eddie G., dancing by the radio, wearing nothing but a kimono and looking quite pleased to be doing both things. "How did I end up in a building filled with such beautiful ladies?"

Dinah gave the newest girl a reserved nod as she talked to Kate, and worked on the pancakes. "Good morning." No reason to freak the girl out, she already sounded upset. "I'm Black Canary." Which... might have been self-explanatory, since she was in costume. On the other hand, Eddie G hadn't seemed to know who she was.

Jack waved at Kate. Unless Kate wasn't really Kate, in which case Jack waved at NotKate anyways.

He had pancakes, he really didn't care about anything else at the moment.

"I'm definitely not Claire," Jack said, forking up some pancakes. "Jack Dawson. Hey, this is probably a rude question, but has anybody ever sketched you?"

She came in, frying pan held loosely in one hand as she opened the door of the fridge, pulling out an egg out and turning it over in her hand.

"This is your brain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyXFN4ocN_o)," she began, setting it on the counter carefully before launching into the rest of her tirade, destroying some dishes which had not been there a moment before.

When she was done, she dropped her frying pan on the counter, looking at everyone in the room. "Any questions?" she asked, before turning and walking out of the room.

And there would be a vastly confused Claire staring at the girl.

"Gee, thanks for leaving me your dishes!" she called out when the girl left.

"..." Right. Weirdness. "Well, that was an excellent case study in strange."

"Looks like fun to me," Eddie G. called after her, looking over the broken egg and dishes. "Know where I can get any?"

The smell of pancakes drew a hungry Jack Burton up the stairs. Maybe food would help that weird feeling he was having, like a twitch or an unreachable itch. Ooh, pancakes!

"Those look good!"

Claire eyed him warily, unsure if Jack was actually himself. "Help yourself."

"Is this the dining room?" a voice asked hopefully from the doorway.

Jack hadn't yet, entirely, figured out that he wasn't on a boat. He was wearing clothes cut for someone half a foot shorter. But, buy god, he might get coffee/.

This was obviously another person who was temporarily replacing someone from Fandom.

Claire shook her head. "Uh, well, it's a common room and I'm making pancakes. You're welcome to have some."

"Pancakes!" Someone was a mite predictable when it came to food. "It's like you totally read my mind!"

"Maybe I did," Claire joked. "Uh, silly question but who are you?"

Because he looked like Jaime, but, well...

"Good morning," Spock said gravely as he entered the communal room. This was the largest gathering he'd come across yet, so it seemed likely someone here might have a clue. "I was wondering if someone might be able to tell me where I am, since I don't think my memory is that bad just yet," he said with gentle humor.

Woah. Very old dude. Claire wondered if he was supposed to be a student.

"Uh, you're on Fandom Island. In Maryland. Part of the United States of America."
