"Okay," Elena said, grinning. "This week, we're showing off our pretties. I sent a handwavey e-mail out, so I hope everyone got it? If not, take five and go get your guns out of storage. We're doing show-and-tell here. Which gun is your favorite? What are its advantages and disadvantages? Who would you recommend it for? What situations would you not suggest someone use it in?"

She waved her hands at the group. "Enough of me talking. We have guns to drool over."

Show-and-Tell

Show off your weapon*. Explain what it does, ideal targets, and what situations it's less useful for. You can also explain why you favor that particular weapon or how long you've been using it. If you brought several, talk about the pros and cons of each!

If you don't have your own weapon, there are a stash of moddable ones that the gun club has handy. Find one similar to the one you've been training with, and talk about what you like with it and what you don't.

And if you haven't found one you like yet, ask for recommendations! Tell everyone what you need -- hunting, personal protection -- and see what they think.

* Unloaded and with safeties on, as always.

Triela had brought... her entire collection. So three pistols of various sizes, a pair of submachine guns, two combat rifles, and a sniper rifle. And, of course, her baby: an M1897 trench shotgun.

The last one was what she had out, going over it carefully to make sure it was properly clean.

K-Mart had only wanted one gun with her when she left for Fandom, her shotgun. She loved that thing, man.

So she did a distinctly giddy little bounce as she got it out and ready -- though by the time she was actually touching it, she'd settled down to just giddy.

Break the Remington 870 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remington_870) and she will kill you.

Momoko had out the gun she usually borrowed for target practice. At least, she was pretty sure it was the same one. It looked the same, felt the same. She eyed it suspiciously for a moment (unloaded, safety on, muzzle pointed down) then shrugged and grinned.

If it was different, she wasn't able to tell.

"These," Makita began, hefting two identical guns, "Are mine. Touch them improperly and die."

"These are Twinned Model 79 Samsonov protocol machine pistols with under-slung 79-G protocol grenade launchers and triple protoclips," she continued, pointing out particulars on the guns. "Although I don't often use the grenade launchers; you get better results by hand." And it was so much more satisfying. "These two particular guns have been mine since I was thirteen."

One day, she was going to sneak in here as Blossom and see if she was better at this then. For now, she was happy with the fact that she finally got a totally awesome grouping today!

Algren would not let you touch his gun. But only because his gun, a Winchester Model 1876, was probably worth more than you were.

He would, however, make certain that you were all just looking at (or properly firing) your weapons, instead of waving them about like idiots.
