Fourth Floor Common Room, Sunday Afternoon

Chloe had tried watching something on the TV, but all of the fighting she knew was going on outside was keeping her sufficiently distracted. She got up from the couch and paced a little bit before she went to stand beside the winter. She hated that she couldn't do anything to help her friends and teachers that were out there. Her powers weren't exactly helpful and her fighting skills were nil. She couldn't call to talk to Tori or Derek or Simon because if they found out what was going on here right now would throw all of them into a panic.

So, she watched the giant lizard monster attacking the island and the people fighting and hoped that everyone got through this alive.

And destroyed that thing and its friends, too.

"Nope," Hayley said. "I just know the two things I'm not gonna do. I'm never goin' back to Gotham, and I'm never gonna be Harley Quinn."

She said that last part with an emphatic nod.

"... Alrighty then," Ino said, a bit off-guard. "Is there anything you like doing?"

"I like makin' people laugh," Hayley said. "I like people lookin' up at me. But I know I'm not smart enough to be a comedian or an actress, and I definitely can't sing."

She pretty much had one career in mind, now. "I kinda want to be a model, you know?"

Ino studied her. "You could do it, I think, if that's what you really wanted."

"You really think so?" Hayley said, a smidge of hope in her voice. "That's awfully nice of you to say."

[intraspective]

"I mean," she said, "I admit I don't know how they hire people or nothin' but--yeah. I think you maybe could, just based on looks."

Hayley had that... artsy look that models seemed to favour a lot of the time.

"I don't know, either," Hayley said. "But I figure... I can make it through Mr. Deadpool's modeling class, no executive people can be worse, right?"

Actually not a bad sentiment.

Don't laugh at that Ino.

"I don't know," she said honestly, "but Deadpool is in a class of his own."

"I know, right?" Hayley said. "Not that I'd say he was crazy or anything. But just... very different."

"Very different," she agreed, quietly amused. "But, true, if you made it past him..."

"Well, I technically haven't yet. Still got to finish that class. But if I do, I get to graduate, so... I'll be good to go, I think," Hayley said with a nod.

"What're you gonna do when you graduate?"
