When Alex woke up, he'd been wet and cold. For a second, he thought he'd gotten drunk and passed out outside somewhere but that theory didn't last long. No, he'd quickly discovered there was some fucking thunderstorm happening above his head (and only above his head) that followed him around. As the storm continued, Alex had gotten more angry which had caused hail.

All right, so getting angry hadn't been the best of ideas so now, after forcing himself to calm down and into a mood that was half his regular misery and half mellow. It still meant things like occasional rain showers and a gusty breeze but he'd dressed warmer and stuck a hat on his head to deal with it.

So, that was where he was at now with this strangeness. He'd taken his storm down to the common room and flopped down on one of the couches, feet up and hands behind his head. There was nothing on television but it was on anyway while Alex tried to quietly read a book. Every so often, he checked his phone before going back to his book.

"That sounds like you're laying down a challenge," Alex said, resting his head on his hand while the storm clouds above his head died down a little more.

"Maybe I'm just curious to see what the fuss is all about," Leia grinned.

"Now you're gonna make me blush --" Not even close. "-- because I didn't know there was a fuss to be had."

Well, besides from his big mouth.

Leia tilted her head, studying him. "You don't strike me as the type to ever blush," she said.

"You'd be right," Alex told her, grinning. "If someone find something that can make me blush, I'd probably have to reward them handsomely."

"Now that sounds like a challenge," Leia said. But all boys had some sort of weakness. The trick was just figuring it out!

"Perhaps." Oh, it was totally a challenge. He could just be coy when the situation called for it. "I'm pretty damn confident that no one can make me blush. It's an impossible challenge."

"I don't know you well enough to say," Leia pointed out. "But I think I'll definitely keep an eye out for a way. I'm a fan of the impossible." Like, say, overthrowing the Empire.

"You're right, you don't know me well enough to say," he agreed with a smirk. "That just means you'll either have to learn more or it'll be quite the trial and error process for you in this regard. Might be fun. For me."

"Well, I would hope it would be fun for me, too," Leia said, "or else I have very little incentive."

Alex's grin didn't dim. "You don't think the impossible challenge of making me blush wouldn't be fun? Pretty sure the process would be amusing, at least."

"I suppose I'd have to judge as I went along," Leia said thoughtfully. "Unless you have someone who can vouch for you?"

"No girl's made me blush," Alex said, smirking turning a little more smug than previously. "No one's been that good. Vouch for me in other areas? Yeah, lots of them."

Leia shook her head, laughing. "Were you born this cocky, or was it a learned trait?" she asked.

"This is all me," he said proudly. His parents were shit, there was no way he was claiming anything was from them. "I just got lucky, I guess. I can back up all my cockiness. That's the true gift."
