Fifth Floor Common Room [evening]

Despite the fact that Puck was still nursing his wounds from the other night, he decided to actually make an appearance in a common room tonight. He brought his guitar out with him to tune, idly plucking out chords as he ignored whatever was quietly on the TV.

He'd kept that on for the sole purpose of entertaining him while he was tuning, since as soon as he got it fit to play he was going to try and get back in practice. His hands weren't even as callused anymore.

[this post is brought to you by my needing to have some pretty Mark Salling playing the guitar, and also my inability to even think about purely working on finals.]

"Not dog," Firekeeper explained with (for her) a patient sigh. "Bugging?" that earned him a confused look, though.

"Ah!" Firekeeper nodded, absorbing the new word. Humans had such a strange way of communicating, honestly. "No, is not at all," she told him. "I am very much... a fan? Of music."

"I cannot say," she admitted, a bit sheepishly. "I am not knowing the names of any songs I have heared so far. But, I am sure whatever you choose I will like."

"You make songs too?" she asked, clearly impressed. "Not just ones others make first?"

Not in the way he was hoping, no. But she was suitably impressed. "Rock n roll?" And still prone to questioning every strange new phrase, yes. Sorry Puck.

"Then that," she gestured at his hair, "is not the way of your people?" she asked. She'd just assumed it was a cultural thing. It was kind of similar to the New Kelvinese practice, except they shaved their entire heads.

"Ohio is... your kingdom?" she guessed. Not being able to read meant a grasp of basic American geography was pretty much out of the question.
