Magic Reserves, The Preserve, Wednesday Afternoon
The plastic-covered snacks were once again under umbrellas today as the Magic Reserves met outside. Next to the table was a very large tub, covered with a bright blue plastic tarp from T&C's.
"Kiss kiss!" Karla greeted everyone as they assembled around the table. "Today, we're going back to different ways magic can be used to dodge or shield against attacks. Hopefully most of us will never need to know ways to avoid missiles flying at our heads and other various body parts, but as long as the island keeps getting attacked, we need to devote time and energy to keeping our skills sharp." She grinned. "Though no one said we can't have fun doing it."
"And what better time to break out a bit of fun than now?" Merlin asked, blinding people with his Irish-ness smiling far too much for someone only wearing a pair of swim-trunks. "Tony? Would you do the honors of starting us off?"
"Absolutely," Tony said. He flipped the tarp off the tub and called a balloon to his hand. Which he promptly threw at Merlin.
"Hey!" Merlin, so very kindly, responded the same way. Though his balloon was aimed at Karla.
Karla squealed. "I thought we'd agreed to gang up on Tony!" she protested, snagging the balloon with Craft and tossing it back at Merlin. Another flew out of the tub and raced towards Tony. "Have at!" she called to the rest of them. "Try to keep as many balloons as possible from hitting you!"

Re: Water Balloon Fight!
Sooooo, bouncing green-blue-and-red-balloons around knee-level, three all in a line (she could do that if they were all going in the same direction, without having to give herself a headache splitting her concentration) Dinah teased, "How fast are you again?"
Re: Water Balloon Fight!
//As fast as I should be, and not a bit faster,// he replied. And then, for a change of pace, he lifted his leg and kicked at the nearest balloon with one pointed boot.
Wet feet, he could handle.

Re: Water Balloon Fight!
//But could yer keep them spinning that way after I pop them?//
Re: Water Balloon Fight!
Well, all that water-bending exercise Azula had her doing meant she could at least *attempt* it....
Re: Water Balloon Fight!
His best shot was just a little bit overkill. But the shot that he did make, which was little more than a crackle and a thin curl of flame, was more than enough to pop a couple of water balloons.
Re: Water Balloon Fight!
wibbly-wobblyfloating fist-sized pocket of water. "Nnnngh." She shook her head, and said, "Too small to make into a whirlpool."Re: Water Balloon Fight!
And yes, against his better judgment, he was going to reach out one finger to prod at it.

Re: Water Balloon Fight!
Jono was speculating, here. His experience with people who had true telekenesis was somewhat lacking. But water balloons, for as touchy as they were, did tend to keep a shape on their own.

//Must make for an interesting trick at parties, at least.//

Re: Water Balloon Fight!
... No, really. It was less messy than lighting them on fire.
