Fourth Floor Common Room | Sunday Evening | 5/9/2010

Peter Bishop was not a fan of having his worldview rocked. He typically considered himself a very smart and rational human being.

Seemingly being dumped fifteen some years in the future was not a concept that gelled well with rational and scientific thought. It honestly made him feel like he was going crazy, no matter how much his conversation with Jacob had reassured him.

So Peter slunk into the couch, unable to concentrate enough to read. Instead, he flipped on the TV and proceeded to be horrified by the program that was on. Who thought it would be a good idea to film crazy new Jerseyians and put them on TV?

[ooc: Open common room is open!]

"You don't want it," she warned. "It's a headache. Literally. It's not like I can selectively listen to your mind naturally. I have to block everyone out and then filter if I want to listen to specific people. It's just...loud, most of the time. There're way more useful powers to have."

"You're tellin' me," she sighed, rolling her eyes. "There're some I can't hear, like I said -- vampires are dead air, ha ha, and mutants and the like come in fuzzy. And a lot of people know how to shield." She grinned. "It's a good place for a telepath, really. It was worse back home, where they all just thought I was crazy." She gave him a pointed little look, since now he knew she wasn't, and neither was he.

"Yep. We get all kinds," she said with a smile. "No one's gonna bite you, though."

"More like vermin," she said with a nod. "Some people get possums, or rats. We get little green guys that make you hallucinate."
