The Roof, Late Wednesday Afternoon
Kate didn't really know what to do with herself today. Not taking the weekend into account, Wednesday was the only day of the week that she didn't have either workshops or ballet class.
So she'd spent the first part of her day sorting out stuff for her online classes. Once that was done, she'd ended up here, although she wasn't sure why. Not like there was too much for her to do up on the roof, either.
She wasn't even smoking, although should any of her fellow Smokers' Club members show up, she thought might pester them for a cigarette.
But as she was alone, she was mostly just leaning against the railing and looking out over the town. Thinking about stuff. People. Herself.
For once, it didn't make her feel or seem too angsty.
[ooc: It doesn't get much more open than the roof!]

"What's up, babe?" he greeted, grinning. "I missed you!"

Good thing there was other stuff to talk about.
"You mean some poor bastard actually hired you?"

Enjoy that image, Kate.
"So yeah, I'll be slinging drinks," he continued. "Might even give you a free one if you end up there one night."

"We'll have to see about that," she said. "Haven't really been drinking much lately."

"Just cutting back or something up?" Hannibal asked, curious.

Or at least it used to be. She wasn't currently quite as starved for attention.
"It's not. But that doesn't mean I don't like hearing it."

"Well, Warren at least has already suffered enough," Kate shared. "So you can leave him alone."
Not that she'd spent an awful lot of time with Warren, anyway.
