The Roof, Late Wednesday Afternoon

Kate didn't really know what to do with herself today. Not taking the weekend into account, Wednesday was the only day of the week that she didn't have either workshops or ballet class.

So she'd spent the first part of her day sorting out stuff for her online classes. Once that was done, she'd ended up here, although she wasn't sure why. Not like there was too much for her to do up on the roof, either.

She wasn't even smoking, although should any of her fellow Smokers' Club members show up, she thought might pester them for a cigarette.

But as she was alone, she was mostly just leaning against the railing and looking out over the town. Thinking about stuff. People. Herself.

For once, it didn't make her feel or seem too angsty.

[ooc: It doesn't get much more open than the roof!]

"Oh, there is always time for teasing," he said, embracing her tightly and smiling. "So, he'll go on my nonexistent list."

"I could always listen to archived radio broadcasts," Hannibal pointed out. "It'd be easy enough to see where you've been by those, insane squirrels or not."

He was fine with being hugged and clung to. Totally and completely fine.

"Oooh, someone's touchy," Hannibal said, stepping back and peering at her. "Where'd that come from?"

[identity profile] decoder-rings.livejournal.com 2010-05-12 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, that's bullshit," Hannibal said dryly. "Why'd you just rip into me for no reason? I haven't seen you weeks, I can't have done anything wrong this quick."

"Yeah, but that's not for like four months and it's not like I'm gonna disappear when I do leave," Hannibal told her, shaking his head. "I don't live on another planet or anything like that. And I have a cell phone. I'm gonna leave the island but not your life."

"Yeah, it does," he said, reaching for one of her hands and giving it a squeeze. "And I don't want to leave either, Kate, I don't. There's not a lot out there for me. You could always come with me, be my sidekick to whatever adventures I have."

"Would I have to wear spandex?" he questioned. "Because I don't know if I want my junk just out there like that."

[identity profile] decoder-rings.livejournal.com 2010-05-13 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
"I dunno, I bet you could work spandex," he said, looking her over. "Maybe even leg warmers. Hot, babe, hot."

"Well, would you wanna be on the good or the bad side of the law?" he wondered.

"We could sell vacuum cleaners!" That was not a good idea, Hannibal.

"Picky," Hannibal said, smirking nonetheless. "We could challenge random people to fights and beat their asses?"

"If they throw the first punch, we'd be retaliating in self defense." See, he'd thought about it!

"We could offer to be babysitters?"

That would be...an awesome disaster.
