Third Floor Common Room [Wednesday evening]

Jaime had mostly nursed his headache from Monday into something reasonable, so now he was ready to do something. Anything, really. As long as it didn't involve lying around in his room.

Fortunately, there was a common room. And Jaime knew how to bake. At the moment he was whipping up three different cookie recipes at once. Not that he was planning to eat three entire batches of cookies on his own, of course. But this was Fandom, and he was in a common room.

He figured he'd have help.

She laughed. "You mean like, 'knock down the pins'?"

"Hey, that's better than I usually do!" Actually, he wasn't that bad. Except last time he'd gone bowling there had been more making out than actual bowling.

"Which means we totally have to go sometime! A sport I kind of like, can play, and I won't have to cheat to win? Awesome!"

[weldedtomyspine]

"You say that now, but I know you'll cheat anyway. If I get close to winning." She would! He was onto her!

She would! He was on to her, darn it. She put on her most innocent expression.

"I don't know what you mean."

[weldedtomyspine]

"You should try that on someone who doesn't know you," Jaime suggested with a chuckle.

[heromaniac]

"You're just a sore loser." She gave in and chuckled, too. "And you totally cheat just as much as I do."

[weldedtomyspine]

"What?" Jaime objected stridently. "How do I cheat? It's not like I have the eyes!"

[heromaniac]

"No, but you have the cookies!" She picked another off the plate and waved it at him. "And you're always threatening to leave me behind. That's totally cheating." She chomped the cookie.

"But I was actually thinking of how you always tickle me when I'm winning." Very distracting!

"Tickle you? I'd never do that!" Unless it were important. Or he she was winning.

Or it'd be funny.

"Ah! It must have been that other guy, then. Right. Sorry!" She rolled her eyes, giggling.

"Yeah! My evil twin! Did you remember to check for a goatee?"

[heromaniac]

"I always forget to check for the goatee." She snapped her fingers and shook her head sadly. "I should know better by now."

"Seriously! I mean, this is Fandom." Jaime shook his head in disappointment. Because, really!

[heromaniac]

"Right! I mean, it's been two years! I should totally know by now that the cuter ones are totally the evil twin."

[weldedtomyspine]

"Yeah, you--" Jaime paused. Wait. What?

"Cuter ones?"

[heromaniac]

"Yep! You know, the evil twin is always the cuter one? It's totally Heroing 101," she looked innocently at him. "And the most gorgeous lady in the whole case is always evil too. Basics. You should totally learn them."

"I'm pretty sure we watched something a week or two ago where that wasn't true at all!"

Then he smirked. "And are you suggesting I'd look cuter with a goatee?"

She tsked. "You can't believe everything you see in the movies, Jaime. And no, we're talking about your evil twin, remember? Not you. You would never tickle someone to distract them mid-game."

[weldedtomyspine]

"Oh... I suppose you do have more heroing experience than I do, huh?"

He frowned thoughtfully. "Are the hottest ones always evil?"

He didn't comment on the tickling thing because obviously he was the good guy.

Pfft. "Since I am a hero? I totally do. And no, the hottest ones aren't always evil. Sometimes they turn out to be the new super special elite good guy. Especially if they're from the future or wearing a gold costume." So much for not believing what you see on tv or in the movies. "Or white. That's totally an elite colour."

"What did you tell me about believing things and movies?"

[heromaniac]

Momoko blinked innocently. "I have no idea what you mean! I was totally remembering all that." From last season.

[weldedtomyspine]

"Oh? Tell me about it then!" Jaime thought he might have seen that season. Or read the summary on the back of the DVD case.
