Main campfire [lunchtime]
Rilla wasn't much for sunlight or nature or any of that crap, but sitting by the firepit at lunch was a good way to get a look at the cute boys that wandered through camp.
The dress she was wearing wasn't exactly cut out for lounging on logs, for God's sake, so she took a drag on her cigarette and hoped that someone would come along to make this whole exercise worth it.
[OOC: she haaaaates me.]

"Good way to pass the time," he said, nodding at her cigarette.

Still, Alex was amused by this one and took a seat on a nearby log. "Not a fan of sharing?"

For what it was worth, everything looked and smelled delicious.

They'd been going to school together for a year now! It wasn't like this was news!

"Hi," he said with a grin, running a hand casually through his styled hair. "I'm Calvin."

"Excuse me," she called shyly, holding up a basket of perfectly baked muffins and scones. She blushed to call attention to herself so. "Is anyone here hungry? I've made plenty to share."
Well, to watch others eat. Karla would eat whatever was leftover. Grabbing food first would be dreadfully impolite.

Bitter dark chocolate much like Rilla's soul, or something.
"Of course, it was only milk and not proper cream, so I had to add some extra sugar, too..." Karla suddenly realized how much she was talking and stopped abruptly, turning red again. "Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to prattle on!"
no subject
Sort of. It wasn't cool to seem too enthusiastic.

So it was understandable when, as she walked back through camp, she stared at Rilla. "...Rilla?"

So eloquent.

By which she probably meant shoplifted.

It ought to be noted that every muffin and scone in there was baked to delicious, home-made perfection.
no subject
Yes, totally suspicious.
no subject
Which was just preposterous, since who would want to be friends with a shy little wallflower like her?
"I d-did. Muffins and sc-scones."
