Fifth Floor Common Room [evening]

Sookie was feeling restless. It was partially the dreams about Gran, partially the compulsion to go out to the woods, and partially something she couldn't quite place. She was resisting the urge to walk out through mulch to find things, though, so instead, she took to her common room to bake brownies.

Lots of brownies. Lots, and lots of brownies. Cookies had occurred to her, too, but she wanted heaping doses of chocolate, really. Some of the brownies had walnuts. Some of them had chocolate chips. Some even had little candies. But the batter itself didn't change, and she was able to distract herself by baking several dozen brownies.

Hopefully she'd be able to get someone else to eat some. Because even while slightly confused, Sookie couldn't eat 48 brownies herself.

"And by one or two you mean one or two dozen, of course," Bobby corrected cheekily, reaching over to grab a brownie with rainbow sprinkles.

"I baked enough for that, if you wanted," she said, pulling out yet another tray of brownies, this set with peanut butter cups baked into them. "Feel free. I'm not eating them all."

"Well, I'm hardly one to turn down a challenge," Bobby smirked. "Is there a reason you made enough dessert for an army?"

She could totally lie, and it occurred to her to do so. But this was Bobby, and she'd feel bad about brushing it off with some excuse.

"I've been having weird dreams and I have this feeling like I'm supposed to do something," she admitted. "Keeping my hands busy seemed like a better idea than stomping around in the woods."

"The woods?" Bobby made a face. "That seems really um, kind of random?"

"No kidding," she said, plucking up a brownie. "But I really feel like I should be looking for some...stone, I think? Out in the woods. I have no idea what's up with it." She broke off a bit of her brownie, looking confused.

"Could be a telepathy thing?" Bobby guessed. "Like aliens are trying to contact you or something." And it should be noted that he was actually being serious here.

"Maybe. Tara's been feeling it too, though, and she isn't telepathic," she said, picking an M&M out of her brownie absently. Aliens seemed as likely as anything, though. "And Raven, she said. But she said she hadn't been dreaming. And no weird dreams for you?"

"Well I wouldn't say that," Bobby admitted. "I did dream about a dolphin driving a school bus with me in it last night."

Sookie gave him a fond smile, and reached over to tousle his hair with her non-brownied hand. "Of course you did. That sounds about par for the course for your head, though, sweetheart."

"Hey!" Bobby made a token attempt at ducking out of the way. "What's that supposed to mean, huh?" She means you're weird, Bobby.

"You know your weirdness is like, at least...hmm, twenty-five percent of why I like you, right?" she asked, raising her brows at him.

"You sound like you've put some thought into this," Bobby observed.

"I did. Just now," she said, grinning at him. "It's twenty-five percent weirdness, twenty-five percent because you make me laugh, twenty-five percent your stunning good looks, and the remaining quarter is that je ne sais quoi. Pff, and you're the one who's good at math."

Yeah, Bobby was just gonna take a moment to look smug at that. "Yes, well. That's a matter of personal taste and I'm not the one here who's a telepath, so how would I know that?" he pointed out reasonably.

"Mmm, twenty percent good looks, five percent specifically devoted to how cute you are when you get all smug," she amended. "And you could have used your deductive reasoning skills!"

Could he, Sookie? Could he really?

"I'm not really sure I have those," Bobby pointed out. "It's mostly blind luck and a lot of looking cute that gets me places."

"Mmm. You have them," she assured him. "You just don't access them, because you rely on your ability to look cute -- which I refuse to confirm, 'cause I've stroked your ego enough tonight."
