Luke, naturally, didn't mind this cabin thing too much. Sure, he had been enjoying only have to share a living space with one other person, but cabin living hadn't been that difficult to re-adjust himself to. At least the cabin here wasn't filled with thieves and emo people like Hermes cabin was back at Camp Half-Blood.

He also liked being able to sit around a camp fire and light marshmallows on fire. That was something the dorms lacked. Weird how you miss stupid things like that.

Kyle sat down, not the kind to ask if he could first. "You're not dead, maimed or missing," he noted of his little sibling. "You're doing pretty good for a new guy."

Luke smirked. "Takes more than some dead people walking around to scare me off."

"What if they wanted to eat you?" Hey. These were important things to know.

"What, like zombies?" Luke asked. "I think I'd be able to handle that. You just chop off their heads, right?"

Katniss, equally, didn't mind the cabins terribly at all. It was still more privacy and space than what she'd been used to, and it was practically luxury after being in the arena.

She was drawn out to the fire, curious. "You always seem to have the most interesting food, Luke," she observed as she wandered over. "What are those you're toasting?"

Kyle watched the new girl for a few moments. "You're in Professor Skywalker's class," he remarked.

Katniss raised an eyebrow at him and replied, "Yes. You're observant."

Yes, he was, but had a bad habit of stating the obvious sometimes. "I'm Kyle Reese."

"Marshmallows," he said. Luke held up the bag. "Want one? They're sugary."

"I'm never going to turn down food," she promised, reaching for the bag. "They look like pillows!"

"They taste like...not pillows," he said. "Not that I know what a pillow tastes like. I'm just guessing."

"Ooh, marshmallows!"

That was enough to distract Alex from her original destination. Really, it didn't take much. "Also, hi." She really wished she had graham crackers on her.

"Hey Kyle! Eh, nothing too exciting at the moment." Aside from almost setting the Magic Box on fire yesterday, but she wasn't about to admit that out loud. "What about you? What have you been up to lately?"

"Just classes," he shrugged, which wasn't entirely the truth, but good enough for conversation. "What are you taking this term?"

"Hey," Luke said, holding out the bag of marshmallows. "Feel free to help yourself."

"Thanks," Alex replied, grabbing a couple out of the bag. "They're kind of my weakness." She was only half-joking there.

Luke smiled a little. "Worst things to have as a weakness, I suppose. I prefer Skittles myself, but they don't burn well."

Wesley had actually never been to a campfire before, believe it or not. When he wandered over there, he may have been a little wide-eyed. "Hello," he said brightly, taking a seat.

"I'd offer you a marshmallow, but they're Luke's, so you'll have to settle for good intentions instead." That was certainly one way to say hello.

Wesley laughed. "That's quite all right, I assure you. I'm Wesley Wyndam-Pryce. It's nice to meet you."
