Magic/Support Reserves, Main Campfire, Wednesday After Classes

"Hi everyone," Tara said tentatively from her position next to the cold campfire. There would be enough sugar during the meeting, so the snacks on the nearby picnic table tended to fruits, cheese and chips, and there were blankets for people who wanted to sit on the ground. "It's been a while since we did this, so we're doing a little bit of a get-to-know-you game. People played it at another club meeting and it seemed to be fun for everybody."

Not dirty. No, really. Even if suggesting it kinda sounded that way would have made Tara blush a lot.

She held up a bag of Spree left over from the mural and explained, "We're going to go around the circle and everyone has to say their name and one fact about themselves. If it's true for you, too, raise your hand or make some noise and you get candy. H-hopefully by the end of the meeting everybody has a wicked sugar buzz and we all know each other a little better."

Karla grinned at the bag of sprees, knowing exactly where that came from. "Now, while it's really easy for everyone in this group to find things about themselves that are unique to them, that's not really what this game is about. We want to find things we have in common and also get that sugar buzz Tara mentioned."

"But if there is something you do not feel comfortable admitting to, you are not required to ask for the candy," Raven added. "This is all supposed to be for fun." She just may have seen how these games were sometimes played when alcohol was involved and the statements got...interesting.

"Fun and candy," Francine amended. "So if you feel you haven't got your full dose of sugar when it's all over, you're welcome to grab some more, even if the only thing you have in common with anybody else is liking candy."

Tara glanced around the circle. "If nobody has questions, let's start."

Tim had returned from Gotham that morning and was still a little tired from the trip, but he was there and munching on cheese.

Peter was impressed. Today's activity sounded fun, enlightening, and ended in free candy.

Katchoo remembered the last time they'd done this exercise; it made her smile, which was a nice break and probably a little disturbing for a few people.

It was sounding like Alexander's timing on coming to the meeting today was most fortuitous. Toward the end of his shift, not even the excitement of a new job could hold off his nervousness about walking straight into something heavily suggestive of magic use. But he could pay attention to what the others might wind up revealing about themselves, and figuring out who he was only naturally going to try to avoid...

...it might have been completely antithetical to the group's whole premise of working together, but it would take a lot more than candy to make him feel comfortable around magic users. He wasn't even comfortable about that fact about himself...

Ooh! Sprees! And hopefully finding some people who were into the same things he was. Awesome! Robin began to bounce with excitement.

Diana sat on the ground, a talking cat in front of her, as well as some chips and dip.

Scully was reassured that no one was playing Twister today. Or expecting CPR lessons. Really, this was a good group to check in with, though.

Plus, the sugar buzz appealed to her more than she thought it would.

Rinoa was here, and feeling better than she had been yesterday. She was going to find Squall and talk things out and then it'd be better. Because she said so, that was why.

Also, she was starting to enjoy these meetings, even if that was a bad idea. Nobody here blinked at the word 'sorceress.' It was a great start.
