Toffee Campfire, Friday Early Evening
The sun wasn't quite down yet, no, but Jono had gone through the pains of lighting a campfire (the good old-fashioned way, yes) and had made himself comfortable not too far off.
There was something about watching a fire with a smile on his face that he could totally get used to, he decided.
Well, that and S'mores. He could totally get used to S'mores, too.
You better believe that he was enjoying himself this evening, roasting marshmallows and singing. Loudly. He didn't even need to pull out his guitars for that!
[Open campfire yay!]

He swallowed, and it was back to his real voice again.
"And yer left with a bloke with a face."

There was a thoughtful pause, and then he was grinning faintly as he looked Kurt over. Being whole didn't mean he wasn't as observant as he used to be, after all.
"Gave up on the illusion, did you?"

He'd spent his first few days on the island pretending to be completely incapable of speech. He didn't take his bandages off unless there were life-or-death circumstances involved. Now, it was all a moot point, but it wasn't as though he couldn't sympathize.

"It isn't easy," he noted. "People around here are good for it, certainly. But..."
He sighed.
"You take enough of it from back home, you carry that fear around, mate. I can appreciate that. Up until today, I was just the goth bloke that smelled bad."

Somewhat.
"But you do have it now, for when you need it," he offered. "And here, it's safe."

There was a smile on Jonothon's face, too. He was teasing, really.
He was entirely too slight of frame to actually pick anybody up. The shaking part of the threat still stood, though.
