Second Floor Boys Bathroom, Sunday after the return

Bruce lived on the fifth floor. This was only the second. Bruce didn't care. It was the nearest set of showers for him to wash off the stink of sweat, filth, human blood (mostly not his), and grenade launcher exhaust. It had been a long weekend. Residents of the second floor were just going to have to deal with his trespassing.

And his humming. The damn Flower Waltz was stuck in his head after that last fight and it just wouldn't leave.

[OOC: It seems like a lot of people in the lobby were talking about showers, so why not. Come to the showers, wash up, and discuss what exactly that horrifying goop in your hair is! And try not to make out too much, I suppose.]

Shocking how Clark also lived on the fifth floor. Since Bruce had the closest shower, he grabbed the next, ready to stop stinking of rotting flesh and gunpowder.

"...that song's never gonna be the same."

"It'll be a long time before I see the Nutcracker again," Bruce said. "How did you do in that last fight?"

"I managed," Clark shrugged, thinking he should've done more to stop people from ending up with hooks through them. "Glad there seemed to be healer-types waiting when we returned." Not that he'd needed them.

Bruce probably did need a healer for a lot of the hits he took over the past few days. He would never admit that or go to one, though. He'd just deal with it. "I wonder if they were prepared for that or if the healers just reacted quickly. It probably doesn't matter, but I want to know what happened while we were gone."

"Yeah," Clark said, finally thinking about it himself for the first time.

Wait for it.

Hm, maybe one more...

"Oh no...Cara! I can't believe I forgot!" He slammed his hand against his head like he could physically jog his memory in the past. Maybe he could.

Peter broke the trend, since he only lived on the fourth floor.

However, he also needed to get the hell out of itchy, disgusting dead people's clothes and was in desperate need of a shower.

He stood under a showerhead and just let the water pass over him a moment.

"Think I'll get in trouble if I just... start those clothes on fire on the roof?"

"I think they'll understand. Just make sure you have a fire extinguisher just in case," Bruce said. "How are you doing?"

"Raven patched me up," Peter said, gesturing at his healed shoulder. "I have no idea how she did, and right now I don't even care if it was magic. I'd kiss her for it if I didn't think it'd get me punched by that Andy guy."

"Good call," Bruce said. "You've had enough people trying to hit you recently. No reason to provoke someone."

"I've had more than my fair share of mortal danger, exactly," Peter said. "I will be enjoying the quiet life for a long time."

"If you've used the second floor's hot water up, I'll kill you all," Ben said tiredly as he stepped into an available shower.

"If we did, there's a few more floors to try," Bruce pointed out.

"Yeah, but I live here and I'm not going up another step," Ben said. "I might just sleep in here."

That sounds comfortable.

"I'd guess you'll be more comfortable in your bed," Bruce said. "So where did you end up?"

"A nuked version of DC," Ben said. "Total vacation spot. Radiation medication is astral. You?"

Leia poked her head in. "The girls showers aren't working," she said, totally modding them. "Hurry up unless you want me to come in there, too."

She was that desperate for a shower, yes.

Ben shrieked like a girl. "AUNT LEIA GO AWAY."

Because after the trauma after the last few days, this was what sent him over the edge. Skywalkers.

Leia rolled her eyes. "It's not like it's something I haven't seen before, Ben," she said. "I bet I changed your diapers when you were a baby."

"That is NOT HELPING," Ben yelled back.

"There are showers on other floors," Bruce said, laughing a little despite himself. It wasn't everyday you heard a Skywalker yell like a girl, after all. Unless you watched the original Special Edition of Empire regularly.

"This isn't your floor," Leia pointed out. It wasn't hers, either, but shhhh.

"I could be changing rooms," Bruce suggested. He wasn't, but he could be.

"...I'm in no hurry," Peter said, because, well... he was Peter Bishop.
