Rilla, after coming back from days of not remembering a thing, the horror, decided that an excellent way to make herself--and possibly the rest of the student body, judging by the pile of cookies stacking up nearby--feel better was to bake.

If only Rilla were better at baking.

Fortunately, another wicker basket from home was taking up most of a table and it was packed to the brim with moddable baked goods from Prince Edward Island. And those were guaranteed to be delicious.

Rilla's attempt at shortbread....not so much.

She beamed at him. "I'm so glad you like them," she said. "I'm still working on being a decent cook."

She had a ways to go.

Well, she meant that kindly.
