Fifth Floor Common Room [evening]
Rilla, after coming back from days of not remembering a thing, the horror, decided that an excellent way to make herself--and possibly the rest of the student body, judging by the pile of cookies stacking up nearby--feel better was to bake.
If only Rilla were better at baking.
Fortunately, another wicker basket from home was taking up most of a table and it was packed to the brim withmoddable baked goods from Prince Edward Island. And those were guaranteed to be delicious.
Rilla's attempt at shortbread....not so much.

Ahhh, the joy of not being in a rotting, damp underwater hellhole.

She smiled. "There's also a basketful of goodies from home if you'd rather not risk it."

He nibbled, and put on a brave face.
"Well, it's... shortbread."

Again with the lack of hellos. "Are you checking it twice?"

She looked disappointed. "And no."

The second answer, though, had her eyeing the cookies dubiously.

It might be a little hard to enjoy them. Rilla had forgotten to add salt.

Not the best thing, no. He would stop at three.

She had a ways to go.

And it was the smell that drew her and Blind Seer upstairs to the fifth floor tonight.
"Hello!" she greeted. "For sharing?" she asked hopefully.

Firekeeper snagged a cookie and took a bite, chewing thoughtfully as she tried to figure out why it didn't taste quite... right.
"Did something strange happen to you these past days as well?" It had been quite disconcerting to arrive back at the dorms after spending what she thought was a night in the Preserve to find that several days had passed.
