The Roof, Wednesday Afternoon
With the reserve meeting canceled, after her morning class Raven retreated to the roof to meditate. She was still on edge after what had happened last night. She'd kept enough control to not turn on her friends, but her demon side had been far too easily provoked by Karla's life being in danger.
And the lust. Awkward didn't begin to describe it. Meditation was desperately called for.
She sat cross-legged near the garden, eyes closed as she sank into a light trance. She was still aware enough of her surroundings that she'd hear if someone else came up on the roof. The sun was bright and it was almost 100°F out, but she was able to heal any damage the sun did to her skin immediately. Who needed sunscreen?
She was also wondering how she was going to explain all of this to Anakin tomorrow without mentioning the word "orgy."

A moment of distraction ensued when Tara started nosing at her finger and Kennedy bopped that nose lightly before digging a treat out of her pocket for the guinea pig to nibble on. "You did good," Kennedy said finally. "Saved all our asses there."

"Boy Scout's useful that way."

Oh, sure you were, Kennedy.

Because yeah. Vampire.
"I've kinda been watching my phone like crazy?"

Tara, burrowing under her hand, seemed to agree.

Kennedy. Not helping.

See, most people would go for the lawnmower analogy. That Kennedy opted for this one said something about her.

"He untied us and all that, but I'm not sure how much that balances out against the rest of it."

"I did not sense malice from him, at least," she said. "With other vampires, the hunger and cruelty have been overwhelming."

"Remind me never to let you visit my world, then," Kennedy remarked. "With the whole lack-of-a-soul issue you'd go a little nuts."
Also, even if Kennedy didn't know it, the last thing anybody needed was for Raven to meet Angel or Spike. God, Raven.

She'd probably like Angel at least.

She would. GOD, RAVEN.

She totally got better though!

She held out a hand to Tara-the-guinea-pig. "It is all right, please come back, Tara," she said.

Tara poked her head back out from behind the planter and looked at Raven, then back at Kennedy with a mildly reproachful, yet indulgent look as if to say stop being so excitable. It worked, anyway; Kennedy looked almost chastised, and tucked her hands in her lap. Apparently that was good enough, and Tara the guinea pig came back out to curl up on the ground between them.
Kennedy'd met the Azarathians, so-- "I can see how it'd be a shock, though."
