The Roof, Wednesday Afternoon
With the reserve meeting canceled, after her morning class Raven retreated to the roof to meditate. She was still on edge after what had happened last night. She'd kept enough control to not turn on her friends, but her demon side had been far too easily provoked by Karla's life being in danger.
And the lust. Awkward didn't begin to describe it. Meditation was desperately called for.
She sat cross-legged near the garden, eyes closed as she sank into a light trance. She was still aware enough of her surroundings that she'd hear if someone else came up on the roof. The sun was bright and it was almost 100°F out, but she was able to heal any damage the sun did to her skin immediately. Who needed sunscreen?
She was also wondering how she was going to explain all of this to Anakin tomorrow without mentioning the word "orgy."
[ooc: Open like an open roof!]

And really, something to keep her mind off the more freaktastic aspects of last night's events-- not to mention everything counting back to last Thursday-- would be nice. Hoping the roof was free of smokers for the moment she headed up that way, guinea pig girlfriend comfortably nestled in a sling carrier at her hip and a small handheld fan dangling from the carrier's trap.
...okay, seeing Raven wouldn't particularly help her avoid any thoughts about what had gone down in Bon Temps, but oh well. "Hey," she ventured, wandering over.

The stop she'd made at the pet store had been pretty epic; there was a ridiculous pile of guinea pig food and a little shelter and all kinds of stuff back in Kennedy's room now, but then that wasn't shocking either considering that moderation was a concept that tended to run screaming away from her.
"I got back last night and found her like this," she explained as Tara poked her head out of the carrier and blinked at Raven. "She's pretty adorable, huh?"

She looked back up to Kennedy. "She is indeed adorable," she said. "And very soft."
no subject
She shrugged. "You doing okay?"
It wasn't the question she actually wanted to ask right off, but check her out actually exercising a little discretion for once.

And she still wasn't sure she would have ever been able to go through with it. But catch her admitting that.
"You, um." Oh, look, discretion got tired of hanging around. "The kissing thing. That's not a required technique for healing for you, is it?" See, she'd been unconscious that one time...

Kissing was totally not necessary. Or tongue.

"You realize this is the second time I've seen you in a crisis-type situation that's involved playing tonsil hockey with Karla, right?"
She was lifting Tara out of the carrier and setting her down to run around if she wanted to, but she was looking squarely and inquisitively at Raven as she spoke.
"So I kinda have to wonder. What's up with that? 'cause damn, I thought I was a pretty good kisser, but you guys are starting to make me feel like I could aim for more impressive results." Tara had started to scurry a few feet away but paused and looked back at Kennedy, almost reproachfully, drawing a hasty amendment of "Hey, not saying I don't love the results I do get!"
Oh god, saying that to a guinea pig was just weird.

Using traditional means; he was not up to climbing the outside of this building in his condition. As he entered the roof area, he saw a student sitting like a Hadati hillman, though without the tartan, and moved to the edge of the roof to lounge for a bit, moving quietly enough that most people would not notice.
If she did, he would apologize for interrupting.

So much so that she was keeping to the few shadows on the roof, uncomfortably covered up lest any sun hit her on accident. But it was worth it to get out of her room.
She offered Raven a nod, settling into a nice, lovely shadow. "Good afternoon."

"Maladicta," she replied with what was more a smirk than a grin. It might have been a default type of smile, but that was neither here nor there.

"It is nice to meet you, Maladicta," Raven said, inclining her head. "I hope you are not finding the heat too distressing."
no subject
Sans sparkle. Unless you consider ash to be dazzling.
"It's certainly a lot warmer that home," Maladicta replied. "Far more sunshine as well."
Oh, for delightfully overcast days...

"Where are you from, if you do not mind me asking?" Raven said. "England?" She'd been told the sun didn't shine there much.

But look at all the coffee she got in return!
