The Deck, Wednesday Morning
It was a nice morning, with the first hint of fall in the still-warm air. Didi carried a mug of tea onto the deck to enjoy it, feeling philosophical. If she counted the time in New York with Sexton, her first anniversary as a human would be Friday. She wondered if she should throw herself a party to mark the milestone -- if she was still around at all. The feeling she wouldn't be kept tugging at her. Mortal life felt like a dress she had almost outgrown, a sentimental favorite she'd need to give up on soon enough.
She tried to shake it off as she sipped her drink. Going or staying -- whichever was going to happen, would happen without her worrying about it. For now, there was slightly spicy tea to drink and a blue sky to watch.

Because with Del there was no such thing as an obvious answer.

She was just going to enjoy the hell out of this moment, this heartbeat, this hair to stroke.

"When it's over, we have to talk." It was some sort of hopeless demand, but Del had to hang on something for the time being.

Though it was easier to get in touch if certain particulars were taken care of.
"... did you find your gallery?"

Del raised her head, suddenly thoughtful. "It's somewhere", said at least; it was much better than 'I have no idea' anyway. "Too many corners. I'll put a tag somewhere." A trip to her realm was in order, apparently.

(Though it did make her abstractly wonder whose Morpheus they had seen.)
"As long as you didn't lose it for good," she fussed. "I should talk. You've seen my room."
And her realm. Both were equally homey and overcrowded.

Del smiled a little. "I like your room." It was fuzzy and had a great sense of fashion, at least for Delirium.

"Several colors?" Obviously the best choice.

"As long as they're all real colors," Didi said. "No ... green mouse ice cream colors."

"I'll try."
