The Roof; Wednesday Evening [ 08/25 ].
After a rather long and unsuccessful day looking over maps at work, Alexander found himself feeling distracted with thoughts of Cassima now more than he ever had since coming here. Without classes to fill his days, all he could do was think about her. Now was the added worry that, after all this time, she would slowly be forgetting about him, and would vanish completely from hope if he did not find the Land of the Green Isles soon.
So he found himself on the roof, looking at the stars, fascinated by them in a way. How they were so different from the stars above the kingdom of Daventry, or even the kingdom of Llewdor, and how they, like the vast sea, seemed unending. Somewhere out there, beneath the pale moonlight, was Cassima. He just knew it. The key was just how to find her and if she was out there, as he was, thinking of him as well.
He sighed, wishing he knew, and continuedbeing emo thinking.

"I haven't been far into these waters, myself," Alexander admitted. "Except being on the ship for Sing Like A Pirate class." He was still sad that was over. "I should look into a bit of a small sailing tour of the area, mayhaps."

Nothing more, that was, until he added, "Maybe I'll have to take you out sometime and show you."

A pile of ash was no fun to talk to.

...what? When one's childhood involved isolation and slavery, one tended to get creative in methods of entertaining oneself.
But the comment made Alexander grin. "Of course. A bit hard to navigate by the stars in the daytime."

"When would you like to try this?"

...oh god, she was innuendoing on accident.

...apparently, the night time was not the right time for innuendo on Alexander's end. Just really awful puns.

Clearly, Maladicta must have just been too awed by his rapacious wit. So Alexander could easily move on to another subject where she perhaps wouldn't be so quickly overwhelmed.
"I...am," he said, after a moment. "I'd rather I didn't have to attend classes at all," so he could explore the worlds better, "but I enjoyed everything last semester much better than I presumed I would. It shall be exciting to see what may be offered."

Compared to what he had going on in Mannanan's castle, those cabins were a luxury suite.
Not compared to his room in the castle of Daventry, though, of course.

"So probably definitely not the rustic part that's the problem," he mused. "A bit more open air to enjoy as well."
