Bobby was still uncomfortable enough in The Room He Shared With A Girl that he didn't want to just hang out in there to study. Because he was totally enough of a geek to be studying during the first week of classes.

But he was also enough of a guy to be studying while watching cartoons and geeking out over the fact that his mom couldn't come in and make him turn them off because they were violent and not necessarily all that progressive especially in their treatment of women. Bobby just wanted to watch things blow up and the bad guys lose which they did with amazing regularity.

He had Hot Pockets (not the nasty organic kind), cartoons and biology homework. Life was pretty darn good.

Lucky for Bobby, Jason had awesome aim, and caught the hot pocket without letting too much of the insides spill out. "It looked like a pretty big book. Were you using it as a weapon?"

He heaved a sigh, figuring it was better to be thought a nerd than thought terrified of the couch or something. "I was studying biology? Cause I'm taking one of those computer classes, and my mom will yell at me if I don't start right away."

"You know, the weekends are there for a reason," Jason teased. "And your mom isn't here, right? So she won't know if you've started studying or not." He was such a good influence.

"Yeah she will," Bobby told him. "You don't know my mom. She can sense people not studying enough. It's her superpower."

Jason snickered. "She sounds like my guardian. He's totally going to know I'm not studying Russian as often as I probably should be. I don't know how parents hone that skill."

"Oooh, Russian is cool," he said eagerly. "Why are you taking Russian? I'm taking French."

"My guardian wants me to be worldly," Jason said. And you never knew what language bad guys would be speaking. "I'm taking French too. I think he wants me to learn German too, but I didn't see that one on the list."
