5th Floor Common Room - Thursday Evening

Bobby was still uncomfortable enough in The Room He Shared With A Girl that he didn't want to just hang out in there to study. Because he was totally enough of a geek to be studying during the first week of classes.

But he was also enough of a guy to be studying while watching cartoons and geeking out over the fact that his mom couldn't come in and make him turn them off because they were violent and not necessarily all that progressive especially in their treatment of women. Bobby just wanted to watch things blow up and the bad guys lose which they did with amazing regularity.

He had Hot Pockets (not the nasty organic kind), cartoons and biology homework. Life was pretty darn good.

Jason wasn't big on hanging out in the common rooms, but when he heard the sound of cartoons, he gave in to the urge to peek his head in to see what was being watched. It had been almost a week, and seeing Bobby still hadn't gotten any less strange, but at least he didn't bring out an immediate urge to glare like Percy did.

"Hey," he said from the doorway. "What are you up to?"

"Hi!" Bobby looked up with a big smile for Jason. "I've got hot pockets." He tried to slide his biology book away. Somehow he didn't think Jason would think studying was all that cool. "Want one?"

"He's studying," Jack said with a raised eyebrow.

"Jason, I can't believe I didn't hear there was a third person trying to steal your face," Nico said. "Take bets on Percy trying to kill him with celestial bronze?"

Kitty was going to be honest. She had no idea if this was her little brother or not. So she asked cautiously, "...Percy?"

Spotting Jason, she gave him a little wave. "Hey."

The smell of food called to Nico somehow. Though the look of them was odd, Nico didn't turn down potential junk food. Especially not in this McDonald's-free zone.

Then he spotted the kid and all thoughts of food were put on hold. "I would think you were a shrunken Percy, but I'm not certain he can read." Son of Poseidon and all.

Bobby looked up at Nico with a near frown. "I'm not Percy! Percy's a stupid name."

"You're Nico, right? Doesn't like water," he recalled from class today.

"Oh, hey, another new kid," Kitty said with a smile. What, she liked meeting them. "Hi!"

Alex smiled and waved when she spotted Nico. Another new kid, nice. "Hey."

Jack hadn't found Bobby in his room, so he checked the next likely place - where the food was. "I can't think of anything you could possibly be studying."

He looked up sheepishly. "...I'm reading. Comics."

Bobby really should know better than to try to pull that one.

"Hello other new person," Ino said cheerfully. "Who are you, please?"

This wasn't Kitty's floor, but she didn't care. There were new kids out, and she figured the best way to meet them would be to wander out some. Like so!

"Hey there," she said with a smile.

Bobby looked up and waved at the new person. "Hi! I'm Bobby McCallister. What's your name?"

Jack said hello with a smile. "What drew you in? The smell of food or the outstanding company?"

Alex, remembering Kitty as part of the group in the wasteland, waved in her direction. "Hey."

"Hi, Kitty!" Ino carolled. "You wandered up here, huh? Good choice for we are awesome here."

Momoko was lured to the common room by the sound of the tv. Or maybe she was guided by her grumbling stomach? Either way, she was there.

"Hi!" She cheerily called out to the room in general as she made her way to the cabinets to see if she had to hit up the third floor one what there was for snacking. "What's on tv tonight? Ah! There's Oreos! Awesome!"

"Oooh, can I have one of your oreos?" Bobby asked hopefully. "I'll trade you a Hot Pocket."

"Looks like cartoons are on, but I don't think anyone will mind if you change the channel."

Ino leaned in the doorway of the common room and eyed the crowd.

"Well," she said, quirking a smile and wandering in and over thataway towards the fridge. "Interestin' crowd here tonight."

New kid, new kid, not-new-but-who-she-didn't-know, talked-to-once, and Momoko.

Bobby looked up, a little startled by the comment. Which of the other people were the interesting ones? It totally wasn't him.

"Hi," he said, a little tentatively though still with a grin. "I'm Bobby McCallister."

Bruce found cartoons compelling in a way he couldn't quite define even if he didn't actually watch them, and so he found himself drawn to the common room. "What is this?" Bruce asked.

"Cartoons. Introduced to the room by the short one," he gestured to Bobby, "kept on the TV by one of the girls." Which meant he wasn't touching the remote.

Alex had spent the day being lazy what with no classes on Thursdays and figured she should try and be social for a little while. She wandered up a couple of floors from her own to see if she could find people.

Success.

"Looks like I picked the right common room to visit tonight."

Jack had seen Alex in the common room the other day, but hadn't spoken to her. He decided to fix this. "Must be a slow night on the other floors. I didn't introduce myself the other day," he said apologetically. "I'm Jack."
