When Ariel saw the costume at the shop, she thought she was being both clever and diversionary by choosing it for Halloween.

She did not, however, expect this. It was only supposed to be a costume of a mermaid. She wasn't supposed to actually turn into one again!

Hopefully, it would just be temporary, but she managed to make her way down to the nearest body of water and plunged in with a sigh of relief. Luckily, the costume must have been made with pool mermaids in mind. It seemed to work, and there was plenty of room to swim around and now Ariel had plenty of time to think about thinking twice before trying to tempt fate and try to be clever.

Leda, or rather the creature that was usually Leda, had been having a wonderful night so far. What with, getting candy, and scaring the bejeezus out of people by showing off her very white, very sharp teeth, or using said teeth to munch on stuff not munchable by ordinary creatures.

And holy Mab, look at this. A real live mermaid!
