glacial_queen: (Running after)

Outside the Dorms, Saturday Evening

What had appeared to be a blank wall in the Labyrinth suddenly swung open. Anyone anxiously watching through it would see what appeared to be a village, filled with goblins throwing down their weapons and beginning to flee as the nearby castle (how had they not seen the castle over the walls?!?) began to crumble and fall in on itself.

The goblins were running hither and yon through the Labyrinth, ignoring the open gates. But there were people coming through--familiar people. The members of both teams that had braved the Labyrinth were streaming through, as were all of the kidnapped students, some still fighting goblins up to the very threshold of the gate.

When the last of the Fandom folk came staggering out, the gates shut with a mighty slam and a great wail was heard over the wall. All over the island, the Labyrinth was crumbling and fading and familiar places were coming back. It would take another two days for everything to return to normal completely, but the worst was over.

Jareth was defeated and everyone returned home, safe. Now time for the obligatory party?

[Thus ends the BDE, though SP is always grand. Hold a minute for minor OCD up, fail me, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] raspberryturk for noticing!]

Well. That had certainly been an interesting Saturday. Tim was battered and bruised in a PG way from his adventure in the Goblin city.

"Alright, who's up for some Elven wine? Great cure for sobriety and emo, and best of all, no hangover."

Cara leant against the wall of the dorms, hands wrapped tightly around her now working agiels.

She was great, thanks for asking. The deep breathing? Purely the result of exertion. Really.

The swamp had ensured that this Golden Retriever was far from golden by this point. When the puppy spotted a particular blonde off to the side, he bounded over with a ringing bark, tongue lolling in a very puppy-style smile.

Cara looked down at the muck-covered puppy. Someone was in for an unpleasant shock when they found their dog. "You look like I feel."

It was a puppy, no one else was in earshot, it was safe to say that to it.

There was nothing but joy in this puppy. He barked again, jumping up to try and land his big paws on her legs to tell her how happy he was to see her. Clearly she should be pleased to see him, too.

Well, that was going to make her leathers that much more fun to clean. Still, it was hard to muster up the effort to get upset with something that small and happy. "Shouldn't you go find your owner?"

Robin had arrived on the scene not long ago with water, and also a big bag of reeses peanut butter cups.

He'd actually meant to grab his bag of first aid supplies first, but this one should hopefully do for now.

"Karla!" he said, glad to see that she'd been rescued. "Are you okay? Do you need anything to drink?" The candy was in plain sight as well.

If Robin knew that he'd totally go for pizza too. "Help yourself. Are, are you okay? Do you need first aid?"

There... might have been a small blue budgie, sitting in a nearby tree when Karla emerged from the maze, yes. And he might very well have chirped in excitement as he spotted her!

But oh, he was so very ashamed. He'd been a bad bird.

This was not going to stop him from swooping out of the tree (more a flutter than a swoop, really) and trying to catch up. Her shoulder looked like a good place to attempt to settle, if she'd let him.

Warren settled on her shoulder, looking about as sorry as a budgie could ever possibly look, and half-tucked his face away under one wing.

Oh yeah. He totally knew when he was in trouble.

Maybe if he nibbled at a bit of her hair for a moment, she would find it in her heart to forgive him? Nom nom nom?

Elphaba, flustered from lost time, disoriented from being a gecko for the past twenty-four hours, crossed paths with Karla as she stomped her way out of the dorms.

And promptly stopped in her tracks.

"...you're back," she said, in a tone that was more confused than anything else.

"I was coming to try and..." Elphaba frowned, her frustration overriding her happiness at seeing her friend safe. "I turned into a lizard. I wanted to help you but of all times I turned into a little green lizard and felt like I should be trying to sell something, but it made no sense."

She sighed. "I'm glad you're back. Is everyone safe?"
