Fifth Floor Common Room, Friday morning

Bruce arrived back in Fandom very early Friday morning after his time spent training with the boxer, Ted Grant. While Grant really did have a lot to teach, Bruce felt that his lifestyle outside the ring was a little too chaotic to maintain adequate instruction. So Bruce learned what he could, mapped out how to incorporate it into his training, and left.

And then as soon as he got back, he was assaulted with snow.

After going to his room and changing into something that wasn't soaking wet from Cara's attack, he stopped in the common room to make some hot cocoa. With marshmallows, yes. And if anyone said anything about it... well, he'd just bribe them with more cocoa. He made plenty.

ETA: I'm at my mom's for the holiday and can't connect my pc to the network for some reason. So I'm using my iPod to respond, and I may be a little slow because of that.]

"Well, Lurlinemas in Oz wasn't in the cards for me," Elphaba said with a sigh. "I did receive a gift from my sister, though she says it's from her and father, and I am looking forward to opening it in three days."

She smiled pleasantly and looked over at Bod. "It's been too long, Bod. It's good to see you."

"And you Elphaba," Bod said, nodding and smiling. "England wasn't really an option for me either as much as I wanted it to be. I'm glad to find that others are in the same situation so we're not all sitting in our rooms thinking we're alone."

"Which is exactly the opposite of how we're to celebrate this season," Elphaba said. "I may not be completely familiar with the celebrations of this world, but I do think that's a key thing. And those of us here... maybe we can be each other's family for this time."

"I think that's a nice idea," Bod agreed with a small smile. With them all together in the common room, it seemed like a good start.

"How have you been, Elphaba? Were you able to enjoy your classes, strange as they might be?"

"I was," Elphaba said. "While I don't think I'll ever need the knowledge on how to rebel against the government of Oz, it was... different. And I met some interesting fellow students."

"I enjoyed mine as well and look forward to the next batch," Bod agreed with another nod. "Previously, the only time I'd been in school, the lessons were rather mundane as compared to these. I don't actually know if I could go back and not be bored now."

"I only had tutors," Elphaba said. "My father thought it best for myself and Nessarose. Though higher education will be at Shiz University. At least for my sister. I might luck out and be allowed to go as her caretaker, though."

She sighed. "It's rather sad that that is how I'll be allowed to go."
