Third Floor Common Room; Wednesday Evening [ 01/12 ].
Wednesdays had always been a busy day for Alexander, what with classes, reserves, and work, but it was not over yet. He had been given an assignment from Deadpool that evening and, as pointless as it seemed, he figured he would, at the very least, give it a try.
Which mean that he had made some popcorn, got some ice cream, and planned to spend the evening in front of the television, on the channel dubbed "the CW" to manfully sit through the programs of that night.
Which apparently meant....a spy show and cheerleaders.
This...was going to be interesting, yes.
But at least it wasn't Rumor Gal.
[[ yes, common room is open. yes, my roommate is an evil woman ]]

"Oh, you're not Raven," she said, realizing her mistake. "Which means this isn't that... whatever it is that she watches."
She couldn't tell half the TV shows apart if her life depended on it.

It was entirely possible she was completely wrong about that.

She didn't really wish to discuss television, all things considered.

ohsohandwavilyhelpful in giving me something from hers..."Which was Alexander's way of saying he just kept the stapler that she threw at his head when he poked it in to see if she'd be willing to contribute anything.

He'd honestly thought something was on fire inside with all the smoke coming from the open door...

"Well, I'm glad for your fortune. I'm sure your skills are just being... tested before you can venture out on your mission."

"As much as I should wish a receipt from the Perk could help me on my mission," he said, "I'm not quite sure it will."

"It is helpful," he allowed, seeing that little shift in Elphaba's expression that he seemed to cause quite often and smiling with apology. "Searching and finding has been quite successful for me in the past, actually, though I'm afraid perhaps my luck has run out in it being successful for the big things."
And, really, since the last big thing was preventing himself from being murdered by a crazy wizard, he really couldn't complain too much.

Most anyone else, and she'd not have cared one iota how her words had been received.
"Well if I ever misplace anything important, I'll seek your help," she said. "Though my most important possession, I've always kept that in the same place."

Whatever it was, it was probably a lot more interesting that what was on the television.

She thought he'd be quite respectful of it, as he always was.
"It's a bottle. Green glass, like an elixir bottle I think. It was my mother's, and the one thing of hers that I own. I keep it under my pillow so that..."
She trailed off a moment, this last part being quite personal. "So that I have something of her near."

She chuckled a little at that thought. Raven really had been such a good friend.

It didn't seem all the implausible, actually.
"You're very insightful, as always, Alexander."

She paused for a moment, then just took another noisy bite of her apple.
