Second Floor Common Room, Thursday Evening

Ramona was just innocently channel-surfing. Seriously. But then she came across what was either the worst movie she'd ever seen, or a work of genius.

She was leaning towards the former.

In any case, it seemed to be a movie about Lucas Lee, who was dying, and the young woman who was in love with him. She thought, anyway. That was what she was getting from the very deep plot, and the scintillating dialogue.

She made herself some popcorn, because really, she needed something to take her mind off the sheer awfulness, and sat down to incredulously watch this...really kind of terrible movie.

[God, I love the Lucas Lee fake movies. <333 Also, trufax, I IM'd [livejournal.com profile] nosefullofsnot to check on this and actually thought the title was Kiss Me, I'm Dying. That's how brilliant this is. Anyway -- open as common rooms are! Oh, and despite icons, her hair is still pink.]

"Oh, perfect," Peter said, hopping into a spot on a couch. "Ever since I started this guy's class, I was planning on trying to track down all of these. How is it so far?"

"You've seen his work before?" Peter asked. "I mean, I'd never heard of the guy before last friday. Now I think he's the new best worst actor since Dolph Lundgren."

Ah, to be from kinda the past.

That got a moment of surprise out of Peter, which quickly turned to an impressed expression. "Like, hometown hero? Or is there a story in there somewhere?"

"That I understand," Peter said. "I mean, not from personal experience. But the time thing. Those happen a lot around here."

Peter pondered for a second. "So the actor thing, did you see that coming?"

Bruce was on his way back from working out when he thought he heard the sound of horrifyingly sappy and emotionally ploying melodrama that probably featured some kind of bizarre twist at the end as a cheap last second attempt at getting more tears from overly emotional people.

Yes, he got all of that while briefly pausing on the stairwell's second floor landing. And it felt like a challenge.

"Ramona. What are you watching, exactly?" Bruce had to ask.

"That Lee guy?" Bruce asked, heading over to take a seat near the popcorn. "I hope this means he won't get on the radio to complain about people around here not seeing his movies again."

"Were you really expecting him to be in good movies?" Bruce asked.

Tony had spent his day working on a vacuum that he managed to break his soon to be secret lab from which he could work. Or fight crime. But the crime fighting part hadn't really registered as a plausible lifestyle choice, so the lab was primarily to continue working on his various projects.

But now he was back at the dorms and in search for something vaguely edible and not requiring more than a microwaving. Which would be why he ended up watching a truly special movie from the doorway. "What."

He was getting to more words. Eventually.

"So, it's a class on what not to do, right?"

Tony shook his head, forcing his focus away from the screen and toward the fridge. "Now I'm glad I don't watch many movies."

Jason had intended to only peek into the common room, but when he spotted Ramona, he went all the way in and gave her a little wave. "Hey, how's it going?" he said, glancing between her and the television. "This looks...interesting."

Jason stared at the television for a moment in disbelief. "Uh, are you sure he's qualified to be teaching that subject? 'Cause it doesn't look like it from here."

"I'd find it interesting, that's for sure," Jason said with a laugh. "So, how are you getting settled in? Are your classes going okay? Aside from acting, I mean."
